Hi all

A really quick Q. I've just started using an ovulation test kit to see how my cycle matches up with what my app (flo) says.

I am totally new to this - so do the lines in the attached pic mean I'm ovulating atm?!

Thanks in advance x

Hey @discoballs88! I think they're upside down or the photo is upside down. The blue part should be on the right, and the word "max" should be readable the right way round. So I think that means that you're not ovulating yet, I'm afraid. The test lines (near the "max" bit) are faint compared to the control line (nearest the blue bit). x

There is an app called femometer where you can take a photo and it’ll tell you if it’s a peak or not, none of those you attached are a peak yet and they’re also the wrong way round as PP suggested.

Take a look at mine attached, the test line needs to be darker or as dark as the control line, my peak was 27th. Remember this doesn’t confirm ovulation, it just means your body should ovulate within 48 hours of your peak.

Hope this helps and good luck xx

@discoballs88 no they're not positive yet. The test line is the line by the max and control at the colour side so you need to read them the other way round. To have a positive result, as the other posters suggest, the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control. Even still, this doesn't necessarily mean you're ovulating. OPKs just indicate it could happen but not that it does. Good luck!

Thanks everyone! Can't believe I had the tests the wrong way up... that's how clueless I am with this 🙈 my app says I should have ovulated yday but apparently not. That other app sounds good too, I'll look it up!

Thanks again x

@discoballs88 My app said I’d ovulate on 17th and I get a peak until 27th so prob didn’t ovulate until 11 days after the app suggested! Would’ve missed it totally if I relied on app xx

@discoballs88 take apps guessimations with a pinch of salt! The month I fell pregnant my apps showed I ovulated a week out of when I actually did.
