IUI with SSR

Hi, has anyone had IUI with SSR? We have been advised to look into IUI as an option but unsure whether this is something that can be successful with SSR? We're also looking into a VR or IVF, has anyone been in similar position to us and what was most successful for you? My partner had a Vasectomy and we are looking into options with the best success rates. If anyone has any stories, would be great to hear! Thank you!

Hi OP. My husband had VR about 10 years ago, about 10 years after the original surgery. Not successful. As I understand it, if the VR is not successful or sperm count is low, IUI is not an option. We have sperm stored which was taken during the VR op and have been told we will have to have ICSI. I can't believe I'm admitting to this, but no one told us to abstain before the op...hence a rather rubbish retrieval! So don't make the same mistake we did...

If everything is okay with you, I suggest checking out ABC IVF who offer low cost treatment, as long as you fit their treatment criteria. I am having a fertility MOT as soon as AF arrives and if all is well, plan to move ahead with ABC in the New Year! Good luck. X
