Hi I've been ttc for over a year now. I had one pregnancy which ended in miscarriage over 2 years ago. I have irregular cycles and my ovulation tests always show negative (always test as mid cycle as I can based on average cycle) and I had gp tests done a few months back that showed I was ovulating. This means I've also been trying at all different stages of the month.. I've tried all the vitamins, herbal teas, exercising and relaxation and nothing seems to work. Don't think it's my partner as I was able to conceive with him previously. Really am getting disheartened at this stage as I feel it's never going to happen. I'm 31 and have always been in good health..any advise or uplifting stories much appreciated!Smile

Hiya

Didn't want to read and run. I am afraid I don't have any uplifting stories. I am 29 and trying to conceive my first child.

One thing I did want to say was, if you have irregular cycles start doing opks from the end of your period and buy the cheap opk strips off amazon. I use easy@home. Also start temping so you can work out if you have ovulated.

Keep up with the exercise, vitamins etc it will happen. Now that it's been over a year have you not been referred to a specialist yet. Even if you are ovulating there can be so many other issues, if you get referred to a specialist, they'll be able to do scans to check for fibroids/polyps/endometriosis and HSG for blocked tubes etc.

Thanks so much for the response @Elakiya. I haven't been back to my doctor because of all the covid Confused but I did get scans done after the miscarriage as it was incomplete and I had a few issues with excessive bleeding so months later I did get a scan done and they checked for endo, etc. Might be worth going back and asking for the full fertility check though at this stage!
Thanks for the advise about the tests I will try that, I was using the cheap boots ones so wasn't sure if it was me or the tests but it makes sense that ovulation can happen any time!
Wishing you all the best and hope you get good news soon!Smile
