Question about OPK lines! (And temp chart)

I have a query about LH surges and temp!

I’m always unsure of what it means when an OPK shows the test line, but not dark enough to be ‘positive’. Does this mean LH is present, but simply not high enough to be a peak?

I had a definite positive OPK on day 14 (very dark test line). Today is day 17 and I got the test line below (not as dark as the control line).

But see also my temp chart on two different apps. Looks like ovulation probably has occurred already, either day 15 or 16?

It sounds as though you got your LH peak on CD14 and you ovulated on day 16 (yesterday), you should see your temperature stay high for a few more days (this should confirm ovulation). If your temperature drops again then maybe you didn't ovulate and our body may try again. Keep temping, hopefully your temp will rise and your OPKs will record a drop in LH

I agree with PP. Ovulation on CD16 as indicated by the dip (which doesnt have to be present but nice when it is!) followed by the start of a temp shift. You'd need two more high temps to confirm CD16 however.

There's always some LH in your stream throughout the month, the strength of your line today probably just means your surge was longer this time and it has yet to fade properly.

However if your temps drop again below the coverline then it could just mean your LH is high because you didn't manage to ovulate with the first peak and your body is gearing up for another surge.

Thanks - I will keep recording and see how it goes. I just find the varying LH lines confusing!

Last month I got a cover line and it seems I ovulated around CD17, so this month seems slightly more 'on target'.

I'm still getting a faint test line on OPKs, but no peak - hopefully it's straightforward for this month.

I've been worried because I got a high FSH test result at the start of this cycle, but at least ovulation is occurring (confirmed last month by progesterone too). Got an AMH/AFC test this week. Scared!
