Sending you virtual hugs @BEESY90 I know you’ve been through so many ups & downs bless you through all this. Have you spoken with your close friends & family lovely? Was it EPU who you rang? If not, I would definitely recommend ringing them direct just to double check. Xxx

Firevie · 30/08/2020 12:59

Ladies/experts, this is my test pic from just now. I think it’s fair to say I ovulated and had my peak on cd17 - agreed? Shall I mark the 0.74result then as a peak so premom can re calculate?

Awww @Firevie I do think it’s looking that way. Sorry hun I know you we’re hopeful for a little later so that you catch the FW for Tuesday. I would suggest just keep going until Tuesday just out of interest. Like you say you’ll DTD anyway with OH ASAP. And the saving grace is that you now know your regularity of your cycle, know how to read OPKs confidently & have the CBDs too for extra reassurance. Is it a regular thing being away from OH or was it just a holiday? Enjoy your spa break xxxx

Completely back this up, *@BEESY90* you've had quite a rough time of it recently and I don't know how you're feeling but I can tend to just give up on sticking up for myself. Please do ring up the EPU and tell them you need help before Tuesday's referral 💕 thinking of you today
HappyVibes · 30/08/2020 15:49

Good afternoon lovely ladies.

This is me (not) symptom spotting 🙄Does anyone know how many DPO CM tends to dry up if not pregnant? Lolssssss I’m laughing at myself here at my poor attempt of staying strong hahaha.

How are you girls getting on @chloedancer897 @MrsK21 @Northernsoul90 Sure we had another little buddy too? 💓

Northernsoul90 · 30/08/2020 16:10

@BEESY90 Sending love your way ❤️ I really hope things settle down before Tuesday 🤞🏼🤞🏼 xxx

@HappyVibes 6dpo today for me and I have been wondering the same thing 😂 (not symptom spotting promise 🤣) I've had a LOT of lotion like cloudy and very wet CM since ovulation (sorry sounds awful). Don't know what this means, or if it means anything at all!! I really hope we get some bfps this time 🤞🏼🙏🏼 xx

VP91x · 30/08/2020 16:28

@Firevie sorry I just saw your post, it is quite likely that your peak would have been on CD17 looking at todays OPK! Such a shame you missed it. However, keep doing a couple of OPKs for the next few days, JUST in case. Xxx

@Northernsoul90 @HappyVibes from what I've read CM goes quite sticky/dry pretty quickly after ovulation which is how you can tell you're no longer fertile. Increased CM post ovulation is meant to be a good sign so fingers crossed!! Xx

MrsK21 · 30/08/2020 17:22

@HappyVibes I'm doing ok, 7DPO and trying my best not to symptom spot. I think it's too early for anything symptom wise still for majority of women.
I've carried on temping (even though I told myself I'd do up to 5DPO then stop 🤷🏽‍♀️) and it's steadily climbing so taking that as a positive and each day as it comes.
Really not sure with the CM question! I've had lotiony CM for the past few days but nothing excessive so I'm not sure it's an indicator of anything for me really x

HappyVibes · 30/08/2020 17:33

Oooh interesting @VP91x You’re a little guru in everything.

@Northernsoul90 oooh interesting re your CM. I’ve not really looked into the texture of mine etc.

I said this too @MrsK21 - it is genuinely only the minority that get any symptoms soooo early on! This is why I really didn’t want to get swayed into it ha. My mind just thought it would add a bit of excitement into our TWW I guess haha. Oh that’s good re temping - I don’t temp but it sounds good for indicating quite a few things for TTC.

Last time I genuinely had so many symptoms but I only realised after i had got my BFP & looked back...I was like omg that’s why XYZ happened. I guess it’s just more apparent now to me cos I know what they were/are.

Only 7more days & we are all so close to our testing & BFP’s 💫💓

Runnergirl1 · 30/08/2020 18:33

@HappyVibes regarding Cm I think everyone is different. I usually stay creamy about a week if not slightly longer then dry after that obviously when I did fall pregnant it just kept coming and quite noticeable compared the the norm x

Northernsoul90 · 30/08/2020 18:33

@VP91x You are are the font of all ttc knowledge !😊✨. How are you today? Xx

@MrsK21@HappyVibes I agree, last time I didn't get any noticeable symptoms until a few days after bfp and they were nothing significant initially (mainly tiredness and bad trapped wind). That was until 6 weeks and then I couldn't get out of bed 😭😂. The only thing I have noticed is the cm but I can't actually remember if I normally get this or not - my last proper period before this was in April so my minds hazy! Maybe im just noticing it more now because I'm willing it to happen so much! Xx

@MrsK21 I didn't temp today I think I might stop now, it's quite addictive though! 🤣. I know that I will wind myself up if I get dips though it's hard to know what to do for the best xx

MrsK21 · 30/08/2020 18:38

@Northernsoul90 @HappyVibes so before my last bfp back in May, I did think I was pregnant before testing and that's why I ended up testing! The main things I had which were really different were severe breast pains at 11DPO and needing to pee every hour or so also from about 12DPO. I tested as soon as AF was late then. So I'm telling myself based on experience it's still too early!

HappyVibes · 30/08/2020 18:44

Loving both your perspectives on this @Northernsoul90 and @MrsK21. What are both your journeys so far lovelies? I have a feeling that this month we are going to get a nice high rate of BFPs in this thread 💓💓💓

MrsK21 · 30/08/2020 18:58

@HappyVibes yes I really hope so, got everything crossed for us.

I came off the pill as we'd decided to start TTC #1. Managed to catch that first cycle but by the end of May, ended in mc and almost 8 weeks. Then didn't get AF until 11 weeks later in mid August so this is my 2nd cycle trying and first cycle after MC (which is so unusual given the length of time since I first got pg!)

Bl0ndi3 · 30/08/2020 19:06

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been AWOL. I was having a really hard time with things and mumsnet just wasn't helping me so I took a little break.

I had like sooooo many days of flashing smiley face and low OPKs and didn't even bother testing today because I was bored of it but had some EWCM the other day so I started feeling excited that things were happening. I was just going to try and DTD every couple of days and hope for the best and test again properly next week.

That was this morning. Fast forward to this evening I had more EWCM, then spotted some OPKs in Poundland and figured I'd grab a couple packs. Got home had a good run 🏃‍♀️ , then decided to use one and it was a good positive result on the cheapie so I dipped a CBD too and static smiley!! Woop!

I'm feeling excited not necessarily about getting BFP - I know better than to get my hopes, but because things are happening 🥰 and I know when I'm likely to get my period now which I've been getting upset about because I like to have some kind of clue when it's meant to be. I hate just waiting blindly like I had to coming off the pill

We DTD yesterday so I might try and make DTD happen tomorrow (OH working night shift tonight) giving us the best possible chance to have caught.

The cycle we caught we DTD the day of peak and the day after so I feel good about our prospects now I finally got static smiley and we have timed DTD well so far ♥️

Sorry for the long post 🤭🤭 I hope everybody is doing well i wont even attempt to catch up on the thread as I've missed a whole thread by the looks of things haha x

Bl0ndi3 · 30/08/2020 19:06

Picture of my tests for good measure 😍😍😍

TTC after MC - Aug/Sept 2020 (Thread 12)
Northernsoul90 · 30/08/2020 19:07

@HappyVibes I came off the pill last August after our wedding but had to wait a couple of months to try in case of Zika (we had been to Jamaica). We started ttc baby number 1 in November/December and caught in April, missed miscarriage diagnosed at 8 weeks at the beginning of June which I had an mva procedure for. It took 6 weeks to get a negative pregnancy test after the procedure and then af arrived at almost 9 weeks after mc. I did ovulate between the mc and af but this is the first 'proper' cycle for me since the mc.

What is your story lovely? I know you said when you came on the thread but it's hard to remember everyone's different experiences as there are a lot of us!

It's nice to hear the stories of other women isn't it? Thanks for sharing yours @MrsK21 💕.

Fingers crossed for us all in the tww - and everyone on the thread in fact 🌈🤞🏼

Northernsoul90 · 30/08/2020 19:10

@Bl0ndi3 Sorry you have been having a bit of hard time with things, being in limbo and not knowing what your body is doing is the worst! Having said that - yay for static and peak opk!! I bet you feel so much better knowing what's going on. Dtd on day of peak and day after is what I've done this cycle as well - fingers crossed ✨🤞🏼🌈 xx

HappyVibes · 30/08/2020 19:13

@Bl0ndi3 amazing news! I fully feel why you are so excited! I was the exact same last month when we had a mega long stint of flashies too! Yipeee for you guys. Sounds like you have a good plan to have it all covered girl. Ending you lots of healthy baby dust. So glad you’re feeling much perkier now.

I can also fully resonate with MumsNet sometimes not helping & actually needing to take a break. Well done for being strong & doing what was best for you. Clearly everything is coming your way in heaps of positives lovely 💫

Bl0ndi3 · 30/08/2020 19:15

@Northernsoul90 it feels so good knowing what is going on!

Well we DTD the day before peak (yesterday) and will aim to DTD tomorrow so should have covered it well. But last cycle was day of peak and day after and we caught xx

It's my 30th birthday next Sunday so I'm glad I will be able to drink as I'll only be like 5dpo by then 😇😇😇

HappyVibes · 30/08/2020 19:21

Ah thank you ladies for sharing. I feel like we go through tough journeys cos we are strong enough too. & it changes us in so many ways for the better...although it takes a while to realise that of course. Some things are worth the wait - our magical babies will be for sure worth the wait. I am sure you ladies will be positive, successful & inspirational stories very very soon 💓

We started TTC in November but we had no idea wth we were doing for the first 3months haha we look back now & giggle at how naive we were.

So we properly started TTC in January - caught that first month, but that was our first chemical. Then we caught again in March - had a private 8week scan, all was perfect. Sadly at the 12 week NHS scan there was no heartbeat. We started TTC straight away - caught in the window before AF -this was our second chemical. So we have had one cycle since. And now this is our second FW since so we are mega hopeful as we are clearly fertile. 💫

Bl0ndi3 · 30/08/2020 19:25

@HappyVibes I love your positivity 😍

Yeah mumsnet was just getting me down as I wasn't focusing on myself enough and seeing other people's BFPs etc... I'm still hurting emotionally but not as much or as often and physically I'm feeling really good been running and eating healthily and haven't been smoking or vaping since my BFP in July obviously and feeling the benefit of that too.

Hopefully we catch but if we don't I think that will be okay too I'm just so glad to be going back to normal so we can try again.

Northernsoul90 · 30/08/2020 19:33

@Bl0ndi3 I'm so pleased for you that things are getting back on track and you are feeling more positive! You are definitely covered if you do that 😊 and always a bonus being able to have a few drinks - you deserve to celebrate! Xx

@HappyVibes Thank you for sharing ❤️. Yes you are obviously super fertile and everything seems to be lining up nicely for you - your body has had a reset with having a FW between and now you are ready! It must have been so hard having 3 losses in succession but I agree, our journeys only make us stronger. You also have the most positive attitude which is really contagious ✨ I am hopeful for you too lovely - sending baby dust your way 🌈 xx

chloedancer897 · 30/08/2020 19:38

@HappyVibes personally the CM thing is not an indicator for me. I had CM right up until AF so heavy that I kept thinking my period was there! So sorry I don't have an answer about that. Trying my best not to do any symptom spotting or guessing because I've had myself convinced 2 cycles in a row. I was even vomiting last month and completely off some foods. Time will tell for me 😞 praying for itchy pits though like @MichT4😂

Bl0ndi3 · 30/08/2020 20:55

@BEESY90 hi lovely I am so sorry about what you're going through.

Yours sounds a lot like mine, it started as dark blood for me and then went red. I rang EPU they offered me a scan the following day or I could come in immediately for a check. I wanted to be seen ASAP so went in they did a check, took bloods and booked me in to come back two days later for further bloods and a scan. I do wish in hindsight that I'd opted to wait for the scan as I felt it dragged out a little
Waiting for bloods but I think they wanted the bloods as that's more conclusive than scan x
