Yay for the static @RichmondLady1981 Woohooo! How have you been getting on DTD up until now lovely? Have you been doing the CB digital in a morning and evening to catch your flashy tonight?

The cd3 bloods test levels of FSH, LH & E2 (whatever E2 is haha). I had my CD23 bloods done the other week so they’ll have those results...even though I definitely hadn’t ovulated before then, so I’m thinking I most likely need them again this month.

I’ve had my bloods done before & all was absolutely perfect, so I’m not too worried at all about bloods. I don’t know what else to expect etc but I’m happy to do ANYTHING right now.

@Lollol86 That is amazing. What an absolutely beautiful Saturday for you. This is such magical news. I can fully imagine how you must have been feeling. Congratulations girl. Enjoy being on cloud nine and in your little joyful bubble, you deserve this.

Thank you to all you beautiful souls, you’re all so so lovely & kind. 💓

susiebluebell · 05/09/2020 18:53

@HPenthusiast Welcome, I'm so grateful for these threads as well! I had a miscarriage on 13th August so very close to you, although at only just over 5 weeks. It's something I will never forget 😢❤️ Like you we are trying again (casually-ish) but I think the other ladies will be much more knowledgeable about cycles. Just wanted to say hi Smile also is HP short for Harry Potter??

Lollol86 · 05/09/2020 19:03

@RichmondLady1981 yay for your peak. Go get some 🍆. Sending lots of baby dust your way xx

@HappyVibes thanks lovely, was certainly a hard and emotional day but me and dh are over the moon xx

@HPenthusiast so sorry for the loss of your twins. You will certainly find a lot of support here xx

chloedancer897 · 05/09/2020 20:08

@HPenthusiast so sorry for your loss and welcome to this amazingly supportive group. Hopefully we will be able to give you some pointers as to what has worked/not worked for us. I use SMEP. It's a bit full on but I think it's a great way of DTD in fertile week xo

chloedancer897 · 05/09/2020 20:29

So I just asked my DH to get some pg tests for me and he's talked me out of it. He said I should just wait until AF is late so I'm going to do that. Problem is, all 3 apps I have are telling me different dates for AF! FF says Tuesday, Ovia says Thursday and Ava says Wednesday! So it's going to be a stressful week. I think I'll go by Ava? I don't know why they're all different this month!

MinnieMouse4 · 05/09/2020 20:30

@HPenthusiast so sorry for the loss of your twins and welcome to the group. I have learnt so much in the short time I have been following. I’m also similar to you in that I want to start again right away to help cope. This is my first AF due since MC and already it feels like so long has passed.

I’m still so new and don’t know what SMEP means if anyone would mind filling me in? I’m slowly getting there ... lol

When would you all recommend using CB OPKs? Do you all use FMU? Xx

HappyVibes · 05/09/2020 20:52

@MinnieMouse4 yeah CBD are FMU so definitely use them then - you can use them later in the day too once you think your peak is coming, as you can then catch your peak more accurately timing wise. I’ve never done this personally, I’ve always just done FMU.

SMEP is an acronym for sperm meets egg plan - this is an approach for DTD around the FW. So with this approach, you DTD from CD8 every other day. You use OPKs alongside and as soon as you get a positive OPK, you then DTD every day for 3days in a row.

We have never done it personally, but may try it this cycle I guess - I dunno. I feel confident with my CBDs & we are able to DTD every day from flashy face so part of me doesn’t want to mess around with it. But then again, I’ll try literally anything haha.

Xxxx

Jadem83 · 05/09/2020 20:52

@HPenthusiast firstly I’m so sorry for your loss . I also had a mmc of twins although mine was back in April so I’m now a little further into my journey and like yourself had no idea it was even twins until that double blow of heartbreaking news at the 12 week scan. I’m glad that your partner has been a great support and you most definitely will not feel alone here . Im sure you will find some great comfort and extra support and wish you the very best of luck for the future 💕🌈

Jadem83 · 05/09/2020 20:54

@Lollol86 what wonderful news to read on a Saturday evening 🥰 lots of love and luck for the rest of your pregnancy

HappyVibes · 05/09/2020 20:54

Welcome @HPenthusiast Your journey is so sad lovely. Hopefully you will be comforted by some of our success stories in here & have your optimism & faith built up by these wonderful ladies and their knowledge of all TTC tips. We were the same post MMC - we tried straight away too.

Hopefully you have lots of faith in your body as you know you’re fertile, as is OH. And take reassurance in your hormones being sky high and super fertile 💫

HappyVibes · 05/09/2020 20:56

@chloedancer897 send your husband my way and make him do the same to me this cycle and not early test. What a guy!!!!! I love that. Ava seems a good shout - compromise between the three of them then. Xxxx

123feraverto · 05/09/2020 21:01

I'd like to join 😊

I have had two consecutive MC
The first in July being just before 5 weeks and last week at 6 weeks.

I have a little boy who is 2.5 so this experience of losses was unexpected

I am expecting my LH peak around 14th September and we will be trying again

chloedancer897 · 05/09/2020 21:23

@MinnieMouse4 you use FMU for CB digital. I also use the OPKs later in the day when I get my static smiley so I know exactly when the peak is. I typically do my OPKs at 12, 4 and 8 if I'm not working.
SMEP is the sperm meets egg plan, it tells you when to DTD depending on when you get your peak if you google it, it's also really good if you struggle to get a peak.

@HappyVibes I'd say the Ava is the most accurate but FF I've been using since May so I imagine it knows my cycle really well. So I'm none the wiser as to when AF is due! I usually know the day at the start of my cycle but I've avoided looking until this week because I didn't want to count down the days.

chloedancer897 · 05/09/2020 21:23

Welcome @123feraverto and so sorry for your losses and that you find yourself here. This is a really supportive group xo

MrsK21 · 05/09/2020 21:40

Hi @HPenthusiast sorry you've found yourself here. Have you had a completely negative pregnancy test before using OPKs? Reason being the OPKS also show lines if they're picking up remaining Hcg.
A lot of us have started trying again straight away after mc, hopefully you manage to catch your peak xxx

Pugprincess · 05/09/2020 21:41

@Lollol86 congratulations on your scan! A good measurement too! X

Sorry to read about the ladies who have got AF or BFN. Also welcome to the new ladies 👋🏻

Lollol86 · 05/09/2020 21:44

@Pugprincess thank you, I was just coming on here to wish you luck for your scan tomorrow. What time is it? Xx

Bellabubble · 05/09/2020 22:06

@chloedancer897 i feel your pain af wise! I’m cd26, and natural cycles goes by previous data and says my cycles are on average 27days +/-1 day - so af could be due tomorrow, monday or tuesday 🙄 given i got a bfn this morn at 12dpo I’m not holding out hope - I only tested early this month as I haven’t had my usual pre-af spotting so I kinda got some false hope :(

@Northernsoul90 I think we were cycle buddies a few months ago too lol! I’m fairly consistent in the number of days luckily - but have been thrown by no pre-af spotting this month! Since the mc, every af has had 3 days of spotting beforehand, my body has genuinely confused me a lot these last 9months!

@MichT4 I understand what you mean about the hoping/believing part - I flip from telling myself it happened before so I’m sire it will again, to but why if it was ok before is it taking so long this time. The ttc journey is definitely hard on the emotions!

Northernsoul90 · 05/09/2020 22:06

@HappyVibes Have you requested the bloods through your GP or privately? I don't know whether to look into having some test done. Xx

The ttc journey is getting pretty exhausting and all consuming... does anyone else feel like they've just completely lost the excitement of ttc? It's just like a chore now like I'm on autopilot or something, we do the deed loads in fw and then I just feel like I can't be bothered the rest of the month as if it's not worth it does that sound really bad?!

@MinnieMouse4 Yes fmu for the cb ones ☺️ xx

@HPenthusiast @123feraverto I'm really sorry for your losses 💖 you will find lots of support and friendly advice on here 😊 wishing you luck in ttc xx

@Pugprincess Good luck for your scan tomorrow xx

VP91x · 05/09/2020 22:08

Going to catch up properly for the day but just wanted to say first..
@Lollol86 I am so so bloody pleased everything was great with your scan. You deserve to feel that excitement. Brilliant to hear your little baby is all safe and growing happily xxxx

TTC after MC - Aug/Sept 2020 (Thread 12)
Lollol86 · 05/09/2020 22:11

@VP91x thank you so much xx

HappyVibes · 05/09/2020 22:16

@Northernsoul90 so a few months back we did them private...you order a fertility bloods kit on medichecks & then have blood taken by a nurse on cd2/3. Then you send the bloods off and a dr replies explaining the results of each hormone and what your score means. It’s amazing & literally SOOOOOOO detailed & SOOOO fast & reasonably priced too. I can’t recommend it enough.

But now I am having these done just because it’s my first gynae appointment since referral by my GP following x3 losses. So they need to do bloods for this first appointment.

I fully feel you. As the months go by the optimism reduces, which is sooooo hard. Fully felt like this today. I will literally try anything right now. Gunna see how Monday goes with the gynae and they may consider taking clomid/HMG. I am literally loosing the will now ha. Xxxx

chloedancer897 · 05/09/2020 22:20

@Northernsoul90 I'm beyond enjoying this now. It's completely taken over my life. As women, I feel like the brunt of the responsibility is on us as it's happening to us and it's so overwhelming. We barely DTD outside of FW as I feel like it's pointless. Which is absolutely awful but as you've heard from my journey, it's been going on so long that I can't get out of that headspace. When we started SMEP I was actually enjoying how much we were DTD but after months of it not working, I've lost that excitement too

RichmondLady1981 · 05/09/2020 22:42

Hi and welcome to all new people! Sorry for your losses.

Can I ask everyone to answer the following question please? Since your MC, do you find that your cycle now is longer or shorter than your previous cycles (before Mc).

I’m finding that most are longer but can see that some are shorter. It’s quite cruel to those who now have longer cycles and find themselves being late and then getting false hopes for a BFP, so I think it would be good and insightful to others joining the group to get a general feel for what’s happening on average.

Mine used to be 28 days (like clockwork!) but since June has been LONGER at 31/32 days. Every second feels like a week during the 2WW. On my second cycle post mmc, I was 31DPO and convinced I must be pregnant. But the AF showed up. 😢

Feel free to share how your cycle had changed so far.
