Leave it til the day your period is due. I know it's hard, but testing sooner rather than later doesn't change anything.

Curiosity101 · 26/08/2020 14:56

Most people get an accurate/reliable result from 12DPO. But as you're only estimating ovulation I definitely agree with @Shmithecat2 and would recommend waiting until you've had a missed period.

Monday55 · 26/08/2020 15:46

Did you take an ovulation test or are you using an app to guess for you? I have a 28day cycle and I ovulated on CD11 which is earlier than the average woman who has a 28day cycle. I also should be testing on 3rd September but going to start testing 1st September instead being 1st day of the month and all that Smile

stepmumSW5 · 26/08/2020 16:04

Hi Op
We have the same fertility window, I'll be testing 1 September xx

Esilia · 26/08/2020 16:18

Hi all thanks for the replies, @stepmumSW5 good luck! I think the earliest that I'll test is the 31st, I'm too impatient and just want to know lol, @Monday55 I've used a app to help, that's very interesting, If not successful this month ill definitely buy an ovulation test for next month, thank you! Xx

Same fertile week as you, ovulation confirmed on cd17 so i’m 3 dpo today and 29 days cycle. Plan to start testing from 9 dpo (poas obsession) so from next Tuesday

lalababy2 · 26/08/2020 16:22

@Esilia hi!

Our ovulation dates are really close - I'm around 5 days behind you (according my guestimation on my app) have only had my first period since coming off the minipill, so can't be 100% as to how long my cycle is.

But it will be exciting for us to test at around the same time! SmileDaffodil

Esilia · 26/08/2020 16:29

@PurpleIsTheColour I'm the exact same lol, and good luck! X

@lalababy2 hi, i came off the mini pill about 4 months ago and was unsure about my cycle too, but I've tracked the last 3 months and have all been exactly 28d cycle this is my first month properly trying and using dates, but with my 2 little girls it didn't take long to conceive after coming off the pill for both pregnancies so hopefully this one is the same! Good luck to you, and yes definitely! I didn't expect so many people to have a similar cycle lol xx

lalababy2 · 26/08/2020 16:42

@Esilia ah that's good that you've had a couple of months to track. It's so annoying when you're not too sure, especially for me anyway I am so impatient!
It took 3 months with my first son, but I'm hoping for a quicker result this time. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I know, it's really strange, but nice to know other people are thinking the same things as you! The next step is then finding somebody due at the same time .... ! Here's to hoping for some May 2021 babies Smile xx

Esilia · 26/08/2020 16:55

@lalababy2 this is my first time posting on here, and I never really expected a reply, it's nice for people to give advice and share their own experiences/journey, I'm the same lol, I've already worked out dates of when I'd be due if I was to conceive this month and already online shopping too lol, I'm always ahead of myself lol but nice to know I'm not the only oneSmile hope to hear from everyone with same/similar cycles! Xx

@Esilia me too! I literally signed up yesterday. With my first I used to have a read through, so this time I thought I'll get involved!

Lol about the shopping, I've been looking at the newborn stuff on Zara - obsessed!
Also maternity wear - I mean what would we wear at Christmas ?! Will we even have a bump by then?! 😂😂

Mrshand123 · 26/08/2020 17:13

Hello, I'm pretty close to you in dates. My period is due 31st August. I am 6dpo and desperately wanting to test. It's also my first proper month after getting my first period on 3rd August after coming off the mini pill. I think I'll wait until Friday when I get paid to start testing. This is ttc no2 so fingers crossed my body doesn't take too long to get pregnant. Good luck ladies 😊

Esilia · 26/08/2020 17:35

When I got pregnant with my daughter, I tested 8 DPO and got a positive. Trying again and will be testing around the same time.

stepmumSW5 · 26/08/2020 18:51

@Esilia shall we make a list with everyone's af due date for testing?

GanderousGoose · 27/08/2020 20:26

Hi! I am due AF 6 September, so will prob start testing from 3rd Blush. Can I join?

Esilia · 27/08/2020 21:14

Hi! Of course! I am due AF 3rd, can I ask if anyone has had any symptoms, I've had mild pms like symptoms today but normally only get them a day or 2 before af plus a very dull headache, bloating and twinges or the last few days I dont know if I'm just being very sensitive to symptoms and putting 2 and 2 together lol has anyone else felt anything different in their 2ww? X

Esilia · 27/08/2020 21:16

stepmumSW5 · 27/08/2020 21:25

@Esilia I'm 6dpo and I'm feeling very mild cramps and I'm also bloated

Esilia · 27/08/2020 21:37

@stepmumSW5 That is what I started to feel 5dpo I'm now 7dpo 8 tomorrow and I've felt so different this week than what I usually do, I could just be paying more attention to my symptoms too though lol, I'm ttc #3 baby1 I didn't know until morning sickness and baby2 I took a test and was positive without many symptoms at all so this is very different for me anything slightly different/new and I think it's a sign lol x
