Line?!

I've been TTC for just under a year - is this a line?! AF was due yesterday but isn't 100% regular (a few days either way is fairly normal for me) so I'm doing my absolute best not to get excited...

Line?!

That’s a line!

Stabal · 26/08/2020 10:00

@BeansOnToastWithCheese yes!

BeansOnToastWithCheese · 26/08/2020 10:02

Eeeekk! How common are false positives though? Is that likely?!

False positives are vanishingly rare. Evaps are relatively common but that doesn’t look like an evap. Assuming it came up in the time?

BeansOnToastWithCheese · 26/08/2020 10:06

Yup, that was within time. Very reassuring to hear false positives are rare. I'll do another test later today and see how I get on. I had mentally prepared myself for a referral to fertility services and everything that entails so this is a very welcome surprise!

My line was fainter than that and I now have a six week old daughter.....

Do a digital I bet you it'll say pregnant!!!!!! 🥰

hotcrosswhat · 26/08/2020 10:10

I'm also TTC and I'd be very happy with that result Smile fingers crossed for you.

Frazzled2207 · 26/08/2020 10:12

As long as it is pink it is positive. I used loads of those and only ever got a pink line when I was indeed preggers (and now have two sons). In both cases they were fainter than that.
Congratulations!

blindmansbluff · 26/08/2020 10:13

I could see it without even making the pic full size! Congratulations Flowers

Frazzled2207 · 26/08/2020 10:14

I honestly wouldn’t do a digital just yet as they are mostly less sensitive than those internet cheapies (may be some exceptions). I’d wait a few days.
Instead try another one of those every two days and see if it gets darker!

sarahc336 · 26/08/2020 10:23

Looks like the lines I had on those testsSmile

sarahc336 · 26/08/2020 10:23

Oh and I was positive, that's not an evap!! Xx

BeansOnToastWithCheese · 26/08/2020 10:27

I've got an old boots non-digital so will do that later today. And probably 100 more cheapies!

Then I'll buy a digital next time I go to the shops, probably in a few days.

I'm still trying to keep a lid on my excitement in case of chemical pregnancy etc. And my DP is resolutely in the camp of 'only get excited when you're 6 months pregnant at least!'

OP posts:
BeansOnToastWithCheese · 26/08/2020 10:28

The old boots test is still in date though! I've checked.

OP posts:
BeansOnToastWithCheese · 26/08/2020 10:56

No hint of a line on the Boots test. But could that be because I only took it two hours after the cheapie?

OP posts:
sarahc336 · 26/08/2020 20:56

It's probably not as sensitive as the cheapie, they're quite sensitive a lot of the cheapnstrip tests x

MustStopSnacking28 · 26/08/2020 21:12

Positive! Congratulations Grin
