Can anyone relate to this very abnormal bleeding?

We’ve been ttc baby number 2 about 18 months now, I’ve had two early losses in this time (5 weeks, and a MMC discovered at 10weeks). Since this is taking so long now I’m really clued in to my cycle. Usually it’s on the longer side, around 40-50 days. It appears I ovulate (ewcm, positive ovulation tests) and I start bleeding pretty much immediately. The bleeding will be relatively light but with big blood clots, lasting a good 7-10 days. I then have a couple days of no bleeding before my period will start, which is then much heavier with bad cramps, no clots.
This has happened on the cycles I’ve managed to conceive, so I don’t think this impacts on that. Each time I’ve conceived Ive bled lightly right through. In my first pregnancy which was successful, this continued on/off until I was around 15 weeks.
My first loss at 5 weeks the bleeding then got heavier and clotty which indicated the pregnancy had ended.
My most recent loss with the MMC I had scans due to the bleeding at 7 weeks which showed an embryo with a heartbeat but no known cause of the bleeding. A few weeks later after the bleeding had continued to be light, another scan showed the heartbeat had stopped and embryo hadn’t grown.

I’m worried the bleeding could be causing my pregnancies to end but my GP is reluctant to refer me as I’ve had a successful pregnancy and only two losses (apparently after three they’ll refer for investigations). I went for an appointment today where they took some swabs to check

Sorry posted too soon.

They took swabs today to check for any infections but due to the consistency of the bleeding around ovulation I’m sure it’s something hormonal, like maybe I have a deficiency of a certain hormone?

I’m just curious whether anyone can relate to this? I’ve spoken to some friends but none of them had heard of anything like this before so I’m clueless, but I’m in such a dark place with ttc and I feel like I’m getting desperate to just finally complete my family and this is really holding me back.

Have you had your thyroid checked OP?
I’m not medically trained but I believe if your thyroid hormones are out of balance that can impact on both your menstrual cycle and the likelihood of miscarriage. I’m sure if you google it you’ll find more info. Your GP can check your thyroid with a simple blood test.

Good luck 💐

Thank you @CoffeeNeeded2019 I’ve not had my thyroid checked and my GP didn’t mention it. When I get the results of the swabs I’ll mention that to see if it would be possible to get that checked.
