Hi, sorry new to this so please bare with me
🤦‍♀️

So I had my implant removed 10th july, hubby and I ttc
I had 3 day spotting on 16th july for 3 days (using this as my period as with implant they were so irregular) calculations said I should ovulate on or around 25th. Which I did 😃

But then I had 3 days off spotting (only when I wiped and was only in the mornings 🤔) on the 27th

My concern is I havnt had a period or bleeding since and period should have been due 13th but nothing.. have been doing pregnancy tests (last one two days ago and still negative)

Has anyone has similar experiences?!
Please help
😨🙏❤

It might take a while for your cycle to regulate when you come off contraception. How do you know when you've ovulated? Have you been temping or doing OPKs? Or you're just assuming you've ovulated?

Oh sorry I should have said I was using clear blue ovulation packs. Thank you for your reply, I have seen so much and know everyone is different.. was just hoping i could have been one of the lucky ones that conceive straight away after removal..lol..xx

My friend moved to Hong Kong with hubby and she put the implant in after her first. They were dead against it and basically told her she should remove it ASAP. It took her about 4 months for her cycle to get back to normal and then fell pregnancy first cycle.

No experience but I don't think spotting is your period given that you should only consider your period when there is actual flow and the lining is actually shed. If you believe you ovulated on 25/07, you should get a BFP if you were pregnant, so I don't think you are pregnant. I do think you need to give your body more time to get back to normal though.

Hi Sea, just sharing my experience as it’s almost identical to yours so thought it might help. I also had my implant removed on 10th July after having 3 back to back and had really irregular bleeding throughout - basically no periods until the last 9 months of each implant, after which it was fairly irregular until I had it replaced again.

After removal on 10th July I did have a period on 13th July for 5 days which was very light, but in line with when I might have expected one. I have no idea when/if I ovulated in the weeks following as I’m not tracking/actively trying yet, but I also got some spotting for 2 days on 30th July so same as you. Could have been ovulation spotting which I heard is a thing but could also have just been random!

I finally got my period on 21st August, which I’m counting as my first proper one since implant removal making it a 39 cycle for me. It’s been really light but that’s fairly normal for me. Only thing I’ve noticed is that I always used to have sore boobs just before my period which didn’t happen this time - it sort of just arrived out of the blue.

No specific advice other than just to ride out these first few weeks/cycles after the implant is removed - I had no idea what to expect but was so happy to see my period arrive eventually! Just wanted to share my experience to reassure you it’s very similar to yours so hopefully nothing to be concerned about.
