Bleeding ☹ 4 weeks

Good morning, after some positive stories really to keep me going!
So Thursday (20th aug) AF was due and i took a pregnancy test witch had a faint line, took another and it was another faint. Felt really excited and happy as have been trying for a few months now.
AF never came, fast forward to this morning i re-tested and it was stil very faint, i was surprised to say the least nearly 4 days later i expected a stronger line, but according to my last period i am only 4 weeks preg so still very early days.
Went about normal routine, have noticed some blood when ive wiped. Over the last few hours it hasnt got stronger & hasn't been there evey time i wiped. I phoned my local gp to be told its not their problem they dont deal with it, wouldn't do a urine test sample, told to call early pregnancy unit, which i did explained all the above and was told to wait a week to take another test, if i bleed period like it was probs a miscarriage or chemical pregnancy, if not and retesting in a week is still positive they will see me.
I feel sick with worry and really dont know what to expect.

Has anyone been through similar?

Thanks in advance

If it's just pinky/brown discharge when you wipe then it could just be implantation where the embryo is attaching to your womb and disturbing the lining.
I had it this time round and was worried but all was fine on my scan.

It is tough but it really is a waiting game.

I had a CP and my positive tests turned negative and then I started bleeding so I knew it wasn't viable.

Fingers crossed for you it is just implantation Thanks

Same here Rumples. I’m going through this just now with 2 positives and then all negatives. Just waiting on the bleeding to start like it did in January too. Phoned the doctor this morning, and like you Samanth06 was told to wait a week before retesting if the bleeding doesn’t start. The wait is horrible, isn’t it?

samantha06 · 24/08/2020 15:06

@wantabunintheoven
Unfortunately my bleeding progressed and is now like a period, so im presuming a chemical pregnancy, espsh after my faint positives this morning, re-testing 4 days after i thought they would deffo be stronger.
Feeling gutted, will of course re-test next Monday to make sure. Wishing you all the best xxx

@samantha06
Oh bless you. I feel for you. It’s very emotional. The last time I was very logical, thinking at least I could get pregnant, and then a few days later I crumbled for two days solid. Go easy on yourself and stay hopeful. Cx

samantha06 · 24/08/2020 15:25

Yeah i feel ok atm, sad of course. Cant wait for h2b to get home from work. Need a good cry away from the kids lol. This was our baby no.3.
But upon googling a CP doesnt ruin chances to conceive again so thats a hopful. 😊 some threads say it makes you more fertile but we shall see. Im just gona take each month as it comes and no more early testing lol.xx

Yeah that’s what I’ve read too. Fingers crossed as my clock is ticking and running out of time. I adopted a child when I was single but DP and I would live a sibling for him. Here’s hoping!

WantABunInTheOven · 24/08/2020 15:35

love

WantABunInTheOven · 25/08/2020 09:53

So my bleed started through the night. 😢😢

samantha06 · 26/08/2020 07:32

@wantabunintheoven

Im so sorry to hear that 😔 keep going, i know its easier said than done, each month that af arrives is so disheartening.
Have you seen your gp at all?
I have a friend who had 2 babies 11 months apart at 38 & 39, it is possible🥰

Lille4 · 26/08/2020 07:59

So sorry to hear this happened to you both. I had a chemical last month a 5 weeks with a strong positive and it’s heartbreaking. Have a good cry if you need one and heal up 🙂 wishing you a sticky bean for your next one. Hubby and I went straight back to trying again and I’m currently 1dpo so I’ll see if the rumours are true that you are very fertile straight after a chemical. Fingers crossed!

WantABunInTheOven · 27/08/2020 11:03

@samantha06 yeah, unfortunately they don’t offer much help on the NHS when you’re 40+. Staying optimistic though. Just gotta keep trying.
@Lille4 Fingers crossed for you.

samantha06 · 27/08/2020 11:08

@lillie4 yes ive also heard that! Thats what im hoping too. I stopped bleeding yday so fingers crossed its our month of a sticky bean!🤞 sorry to hear youve been through the same.

@wantabunintheoven its such a shame there isnt more help readily available, ive made ttc September bus thread if either of you wish to join🥰🥰
