BFN 3 days before period due

Hi everyone, I tested at 1pm, should I test again in the morning or wait until my period is due? I am impatient and feel like I have a lot of symptoms but don’t want to keep wasting them. Would I already be able to see something on a first response test if I was?

How have you tracked ovulation? You may have ovulated later if you were using OPKs or if you haven't tracked your cycle and not be 3 days before your period yet, it could be too soon to tell

@PlanBea I use the app Clue, it is normally pretty accurate though. Maybe I should track with tests next month to check properly. Which ones do you use?

An app basically predicts what it thinks will happen based on what's happened previously. So if you always have a 30 day cycle it will assume your next cycle is 30 days. There's lots of things that can cause this to change month to month, so I would take an app with a pinch of salt.

I use temping rather than OPKs, a bit of a faff to get started with but OPKs measure the surge of lutenising hormone which can happen several times before you have a successful ovulation, while temperatures confirm ovulation after it's happened. I recommend Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler (so much so my autocorrect suggests it just from me typing recommended!) As it gives good information for what's going on in there and explains temping in good detail.

On the test for this cycle, I'd hold back as long as you can before testing. I keep a stack of internet cheapies in when I feel I need to POAS but don't want to waste a FRER!
