PERIODS & OVULATION AFTER NEXPLANON?

Hello!

Just wondered if anybody has been interested eh same boat as me before...

I had my implant removed on the 4th August, and am really unsure as to when my ovulation and periods will return..
I have been having some seriously bad nausea, headaches, stomach pains and cramping and have just been feeling overall pretty strange since removal.. I wasn't sure if it was hormone related or not: so I took a test to be sure (Tesco cheapie) and it came back with a very faint positive, but I know that evap lines are a big problem with blue dye tests so it's hard to know for sure what's happening.. I will Insert a pic below.
Since then I've had all negatives so I'm not sure what the deal is with those 😂🙈🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm really wanting my period to come on now so that we can begin tracking my ovulation and TTC.. but I have absolutely no sign of it whatsoever.

I read that 90% of women will ovulate within 3 weeks of Nexplanon removal, but I have been testing and have had absolutely no sign of ovulation having happened for me..

Anybody been in / is in the same boat as me? I'm really getting impatient 😂😭 and I know it can take months before you get a cycle.. I just want to know what's going on with me.

Could hormones create a faint positive test..?

Thanks for reading 💓

Hello, I ovulated three weeks after my implant was removed and AF arrived a week after that (the implant seems to have made my luteal phase very short annoyingly). Those tests look positive!! I would do an FRER to be sure but you may have ovulated earlier. I don't think hormone fluctuations would give you a positive result. Good luck!

When did you start testing for ovulation? Strictly speaking you're fertile from the second your implant is removed, so you could potentially have ovulated in the first week or so and are now pregnant? I ovulated CD13 after getting my Nexplanon removed, I counted removal day as CD1. AF then arrived as usual 13 days later.

I'd recommend a high quality test HPT. Doesn't matter if it's pink or blue dye, just that it's high quality and sensitive. Perhaps even a CB Digital with weeks indicator?

Good luck.
