Hi all, so I posted yesterday showing my lines and all were clearly positive. I took another first response this morning and HCG Femometer strip, again got a positive result on both which the app also picked up. However I took another Femometer just now and it was a very faint line almost couldn’t be seen and it recorded it as negative?! I’ve had cramps all day today (different from period pain) and yesterday and achy boobs. I’m technically 11dpo So I thought the lines should be stronger? Is the negative test because it’s mid day and not morning?! Really hoping this isn’t a chemical? Thanks all. X

In the early stages the concentration of your urine plays a huge part in the result you get from a HPT because HCG is so low. You probably did have more diluted urine when you did this afternoon's test.

If you're wanting to track line progression then your best bet is to test once a day with FMU. It'll be the easiest way of comparing.

However, unless you have any strong pains or bleeding then there's absolutely no reason to believe there's anything wrong with your pregnancy. So if you can, I'd probably stop testing and try to enjoy these early days. 🙂

Congratulations, wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Thank you! There was a very faint line on it but not as dark as yesterday! So hopefully all is well and AF doesn’t show up next week! Thank you for replying! X
