Hey all
I've been ttc for a long time, I had my lap and dye last week which removed all endo visible and unstuck my left ovary from my tube. My tubes are clear. The horrible bleeding that I had after is coming to an end. I'm very determined to try everything I can this month and the following months if I fail.
I have read about this SMEP and I've heard good things about it.
Today I am CD 5 so I am going to start dtd tonight instead of the recommendation of CD 8. I done an ovulation test today (just for fun) there's a second line but very much not positive so going to keep doing them twice a day until I get my surge. Also have some cb advance ones coming tomorrow.

My question is how many people have used this method and been successful on here? Would love to keep chatting to people through these next 6 months if possible as this is kind of the last hurdle before more fertility tests are taken for both me and my DP xx

I'm due 11th / 12th September but won't consider myself late until the 15th as much cycles can vary.

I will stop temping at 4dpo. I've had a great temp spike and so I don't get any further validation from analysing my temps from this point. Plus it's been agonising to see AF come despite a steady rise and also agonising to watch the more typical temp drop from DPO10/11

Anyone have any nice plans for tww?

Mich2020 · 03/09/2020 08:05

Morning ladies. Sorry missed a whole day yesterday. Had some time at the beach with the kids before my eldest returns to school
Tomorrow. I'm due around the 13th my app says I can test in 7 days. I'm 4dpo roughly today and have lots of ICs so I very much doubt I'll hold out for another 7 days be more like 5 🙈🙈
Hope your all doing okay xx

Morning ladies, no i have no plans today @1940s do you? I think i am actually 6dpo today not yesterday; i know i ovulated last thursday? Looks like we are all due af around the same time now. @Mich2020 i only have a cb digital in my bathroom cupboard so will wait till 14th to test if af doesn't arrive. Had 2 very weird stabbing pains yesterday afternoon on my left side then nothing maybe it was just bowel related though and i have stupidly started symptom spotting (i knew i had no willpower not to do it ha)

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Muda · 03/09/2020 08:50

I took my last test this morning and was pleased to see 3+weeks- no more testing for me now! I hope everyone’s tww goes by quickly. Let us know of any symptoms you spot or don’t. I still don’t have any yet.

Oh so exciting to see @Muda!!

I've given up on pregnancy symptom spotting as I had no symptoms for my first pregnancy. However I'm on AF symptom alert already at 4dpo.

I'm busy this weekend so that helps. Time slows down from 9dpo and that's when I get the urge to test!!

Bbdm1984 · 03/09/2020 10:00

@Muda that is brilliant to see, i am so happy for you.

Bbdm1984 · 03/09/2020 10:06

Well so much for me not symptom spotting been to the toilet 3 times in the past 2 hours and boobs at the side (near to my armpit) have started hurting god its going to be a long week i need to stop overthinking

itsgood2talk · 03/09/2020 11:33

Just wanted to come on and say I used this plan and am now 13 weeks pregnant. We were trying for 9 months previously and then got pregnant the first month we tried SMEP so I really believe it works. I got my positive OPK on CD13, DTD CD 7/9/11/12/13/14/15. Had cramping pains CD 19/20 then what I though were period pains 3 days before I was due. Did a test 2 days early as I couldn't wait. I really believe this plan worked as so many stories of people being successful. I really hope it works for you too 🤞🏻.

Bbdm1984 · 03/09/2020 13:00

@itsgood2talk congratulations, when are you due, have you had your scan yet? Thank you so much for letting us know your success story x

Mich2020 · 03/09/2020 15:57

Hey, I've been working today, DP made me test even though it was going to be negative lol 😂
Yes think we are all due the same time 😊

Yay @Muda that's amazing

I've had a few aches here and there but not too bad. My boobs aren't sore like they usually are.. I don't want to think too much into it. I'm on CD19 today, usually AF comes around 28-29 although last month CD27 but think that was to do with my lap and dye xx

So tired this evening. Even had a nap on the sofa. Not sure if it's just work catching up with me. Feels like I could sleep for a week x

I feel like I've got my pre AF grumps today. Even DH breathing was driving me mad. Not a good sign as I always feel like this mid way through Luteal phase before AF arrives. I really wanted this to be our month

Bbdm1984 · 03/09/2020 21:40

@1940s dont lose hope just yet it is still over a week until you test x

itsgood2talk · 03/09/2020 23:04

@Bbdm1984 thanks! I'm due 8th March. Had 12 week scan last week and everything was fine. Partners aren't allowed to come in though so had to go alone. I've booked a private scan just before the 20 week one as they are allowing partners into those and that way DH can be there to find out what we are having 😊

Muda · 04/09/2020 07:53

@Mich2020 I hope the tiredness is a good sign for you!
@1940s @Bbdm1984 is right you still have a week to go so don’t lose hope just yet.
@itsgood2talk that’s such a shame partners still aren’t allowed in the scan, is this your first child? I think I will do the same if my OH can’t come to the scan we will book a private one as I want him to be able to join in the magic and see it

Mich2020 · 04/09/2020 07:56

@1940s keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hormones are funny things.
@itsgood2talk it's such a shame about partners not being able to come in.
@Muda let's hope so 🤞🏻 although I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

When will everyone be testing? I'm so impatient.. I want to know now 🙈 very achy and crampy this morning xx

I had to pee on something.. this is my opk from this morning, not positive I know but quite a dark line for CD20.. read some success stories on this before about opks detecting hcg. Going to keep doing them now every morning just to see 😂😂🙈

@Mich2020 I got a high opk on my cd29 and it turned out to be a bfp a few days later! But I did also read you can get an LH surge before AF. Again fingers crossed this is a positive sign for you! X

Mich2020 · 04/09/2020 08:49

The line was very close to being as dark as the control line when I threw it away.. I will not read to much into it though. Hope your doing okay @Muda x

1940s · 04/09/2020 08:52

Oooh @Mich2020 that is a good sign! How many DPO are you?

Mich2020 · 04/09/2020 09:12

@1940s only 5-6dpo I think going by my peak opk. Have had proper lower cramps last night and this morning and still super tired. My eldest had gone to school and my youngest is at her dads and the DP is at work for a couple hours so I'm back in bed lol x

Morning all, hope everyone is well and has some good plans this weekend. Had that weird stabbing pain the left side of womb are yesterday again? But did an opk and stark white. Also man my tiredness is uncontrollable at the moment but think that has more to do with my autoimmune disorder than anything else. AF boobs have arrived this morning so think im deffo out this month; bit gutted, but means i get to have a good time away for dp 40th at the beginning of october. . How are you all doing?

Sleepyhead81 · 05/09/2020 15:31

Hi everyone how ru all? I haven't been on all week as was away on holiday.
@Muda congratulations that's lovely news!
I also got my bfp this morning so the SMEP has worked for us. I'm a little apprehensive too after a miscarriage at 9 1/2 weeks in June but hoping all goes well this time!

Sleepyhead81 · 05/09/2020 15:33

@Mich2020 I have had positive opk stickswhen pregnant this time and earlier this year so it's a good sign 🤞🤞
