BBT temp rise

I was utterly convinced I ovulated yesterday. Peak OPK on Tuesday and a temp drop yesterday with a lot of ewcm the past 3/4 days. I felt some twinges yesterday too. But this morning my temp didn't do a significant rise from yesterday. Has this happened anyone else? I know BBT is what I should be focusing on but is it possible to have a subtle rise on day 1 and continue to rise or should it be very clear? This is the first month in ages I felt confident about ovulation and now I feel disheartened again. Argh!

Hi @Stabal everything is point in the 'you ovulated' direction, so just make sure you temp tomorrow morning and hopefully you will see your temperature rise again.

@Kay00 I will keep temping as I enjoy looking at charts 😂 really hoping I'm right as I timed DTD around how my body was feeling and I felt so confident about it!

@Stabal Its possible you have had a surge in LH which did not actually result in ovulation, but I think you will need to wait a day or two more to see if you get the temp rise as a result of ovulation. Fingers crossed for you!

@Stabal mine doesn't ever do a 'spike', it does a gradual increase over 2/3 days. Good luck! X

You could technically be ovulating today still I guess. Although you can have a slow temp rise it still implies there is a temp rise overall - was today's temp higher than the last 6? That would be the key thing to look out for.

If not then hopefully today is OD and your temp will rise properly tomorrow.

@Juno231 slightly higher than the last 7 apart from Friday when I had a weird high one. I guess tomorrow and the next day will tell the full story.. Hopefully!

Lots can affect bbt. I know it can be a great way to confirm ovulating but it's not foolproof. Here is my bbt chart the month I conceived DD.
