@Elakiya aww I can imagine I would have been super upset as well. At least there is a very big silver lining at the end of it as I have heard an HSG is very expensive. I didnt know the insurance will cover it.

I tried to get private insurance and was told straight off the bat by Bupa they dont cover anything to do with infertility and no insurance in the UK does so didn't bother getting private insurance as that was the whole reason I wanted it lol. So very very pleased for you this is fantastic news

@Elakiya what is a Laproscopy

OP posts:
Elakiya · 26/08/2020 14:38

@candycrush2298 Yep the gynae was pretty sure nothing would be covered too. I was very shocked when she said yes we'll cover you for a few very basic things. I'm actually surprised they're happy to cover me for PCOS as that's infertility too. Everything so complicated.

My gynae said that the HSG is the most expensive one. He then said its £400. I decided that if worst comes to worst I'll pay myself as by the time the NHS do it I reckon it will be another 2 years.

NamechangeTTC · 26/08/2020 14:39

I drink too much fluid @candycrush2298 and I know my last peak was 3 hours so I’ll never catch that!

Elakiya · 26/08/2020 14:39

@candycrush2298 I had to google it but apparently it's some sort of keyhole surgery to look at your uterus.

Welliedays · 26/08/2020 14:45

@elakiya I'm too busy today to properly reply but I'm so happy for you that they will cover some things. Will reply properly later, I just wanted to check in..

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 14:57

@Elakiya well at least you know you have a pretty darn good insurance lol!! Thats awesome. Yes with NHS it could be a while so this is great that you dont have to wait. So pleased for you.

Oh wow that is pretty neat that they cover that hahah.

@NamechangeTTC then dont test this cycle go rogue hahahaha do it blindly no point testing if you can't hold your pee thats just wasting money lol!!!

NamechangeTTC · 26/08/2020 15:03

Oh noooo I wanna know I’ve ovulated after the soy.

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 16:32

@NamechangeTTC but how will you know that you have if you already know you will miss your peak? I am confused lol.

OP posts:
NamechangeTTC · 26/08/2020 16:48

I’ve got to at least try or I’ll go mad. I don’t want to find out soy has stopped me ovulating or whatever. I can hold pee two hours it’s remembering not to bloody drink!

Elakiya · 26/08/2020 17:11

@candycrush2298 Did soy not increase the length of your surge to two days when its normally 24 hours? Maybe @NamechangeTTC might have a longer surge due to Soy.

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 17:46

@NamechangeTTC the just try your best to hold your pee set yourself a timer with reminders hahahahahaha

@Elakiya yeah I definitely got a two day strooooooong peak so hopefully yours will be so strong @NamechangeTTC that you can't miss it hahah besides if you get anything like I do you know will know you are about to/have ovulated by the ovulation pains lol!!!

OP posts:
Kaybobx · 26/08/2020 18:57

@candycrush2298 hopefully it doesn't prolong my peak, i already had a 3 day one last cycle hahaha!!!

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 19:01

@Kaybobx lol mine was a day later but dont think that's soy think thats just because I am due a longer cycle hahahaha.

I hope that yours is brought forward how exciting would that be???

Are you still feeling super positive

OP posts:
Kaybobx · 26/08/2020 19:21

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 19:25

OP posts:
Kaybobx · 26/08/2020 19:33

@candycrush2298 ah thats amazing news, glad you are feeling better and the issue is resolved.

I want to ask you loads of questions but know I'm not allowed haha.

Yesterday was pretty much a pj day as it was raining bad. Today we went on a walk and to the park. I'm starting back to the gym tomorrow so just enjoying a big fat bowl of profiteroles hahaha

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 19:42

@Kaybobx aww thanks yeah mood is way better today hahah.

Now I am too curious hahaha ask me, I am not getting the urge to test strange I know hahah. So any questions won't distract me yet 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Awww man I am so jealous the weather was absolutely brutal yesterday. I am having a pj day on Friday lol. Aww sounds like a fab way to spend your time off.

🤣🤣🤣thats the best way to prepare for the gym 😂😂

@elakiya I am so happy your insurance is paying for some of your tests etc. You maybe hit it lucky and got someone who understood infertility so is happy to let things go through.. Or maybe you are just super lucky with your insurance policy... But either way at least you'll get a few steps further forward. Hopefully the tests will all build a picture and give you an idea of the best way forward.

@candycrush2298 I'm pleased you're feeling better about work.. Hopefully it won't come back to stress you again. I have really struggled with motivation today, I just want to sleep hahaha I don't think the weather is helping!

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 19:53

@Welliedays thank you and yes definitely me too. I want a stress free tww hahaha. At least I am not stressed about ttc so thats a bonus.

Hahahaha I am sure its both the weather and your hormones kicking in. Was the weather still pretty bad by you today or has the storm passed you as well?

OP posts:
Kaybobx · 26/08/2020 19:54

@candycrush2298 haha sorry nothing exciting i just wondered how your chart looking? Any symptoms? What day are you testing again? Haha!!

@Welliedays haha i feel like that everyday! You're pregnant, i have no excuse

ReginaaPhalange · 26/08/2020 19:55

Hi all! I'm out for dinner for my brothers birthday! So wanted to order a cocktail but I want to play it safe in case we have got lucky this time lol!!! Am I being too safe though? Lol!

Welliedays · 26/08/2020 19:59

@reginaaphlange I started on alcohol free cider when I thought there might be a chance.. So basically the start of the tww... But I think it's totally up to you, whatever you feel happy doing! There's not a right or wrong answer!!

candycrush2298 · 26/08/2020 20:00

@Kaybobx lol chart is still looking the same. And no symptoms at all out of the ordinary. Back ache, creamy sometimes sticky cm, light cramping anddddd some ibs symptoms today as I didnt take the bromelain, diarrhea, and felt like AF was gonna start I know weird as I am only due next Thursday. But yeah everything is totally normal for me not one out of place symptom whahahah. And gonna test maybe Sunday maybe Monday will see hahah.

@ReginaaPhalange its never a bad thing to play it safe, but for those that drink alcohol I have seen drink until you see pink lol!!!

OP posts:
Welliedays · 26/08/2020 20:04

@reginaaphlange I mean if you read the textbooks they'll tell you not to drink at all if you're ttc.. But the same textbooks tell you that you just have to look at a boy to get pregnant... So I wouldn't listen to them too much hahhahaha
