Vitamins issues

Hey,

DH and I have made that decision to TTC for our first baby! Yay!
I started to take pregnacare before conception vitamins to try to start to get everything going, but I'm late for AF... Today is my 38CD and I did OPK (not religiously) and am 80% sure OD was on 31/07 or 01/08, also checking where cervix position is.
My usual cycle is around 35 days, so yes I know I'm only 3 days past this, but my question is does anyone else have issues with vitamins and their cycle? On the pack it says it can delay AF.
I tried just folic acid last month and went to CD42 Shock before AF arrived. You could imagine my "am I? Am I not?" Situation I was in! I just don't want to delay my cycle through vitamins, when women out there fall pregnant without them, then start as taking them as soon as that news arrives.
Any thoughts?

I've used Pregnacare conception vitamins for the first time this month and it's completely messed up my cycle - usually pretty clockwork 30 day cycle, ovulation around day 19 - this month I didn't ovulate until CD31 and my app is predicting a 44 day cycle!?!

Previously I've just been using the Boots own-brand Folic Acid + Vit D, so definitely going back to that once AF arrives - can't be dealing with such long cycles! (Unless by some miracle I'm pregnant, in which case I take it all back and they're great haha!)

Think the recommendation is for a certain amount of Folic Acid as a minimum, so surprised you also got affected just taking that on it's own... Think you can get Folic Acid added cereal and in certain foods, so perhaps you'd be better getting it through diet rather than as a supplement? x

Heard lots and lots of people on the conception boards having their cycles screwed by Pregnacare.

I used seven seas trying for a baby and it was great for me.

Plus it was a damn sight cheaper.

We used to take Pregnacare conception vitamins and my cycles were all over the place but we switched to Holland and Barrett's own make and although I hate the taste things have been much more normal

I'm so so SO glad I'm not the only one!!! Thanks ladies Smile
I'm currently on CD 41 Confused now in a limbo place. Going to test tomorrow FMP and see if by some chance I'm pregnant, but I haven't had any symptoms and been having slight cramping today so reckon AF will soon arrive..
(DH and I only decided a week ago TTC so unless protection failed, I'm not holding out hope)
