Hi all,
Don’t really know where to start in all of this.
After reading up on a few things I seem to now be classed as having an advanced maternal age?
Didn’t think 35 was that old but oh well.
Has anyone else struggled with conceiving at this “geriatric age” (I’m joking, we’re not old!) am I in for a tougher time do we think?
I had the implant removed at the start of the month and have had a period already, do you recommend using ovulation sticks or just seeing how we go for the first couple of cycles?
All help, information and opinions are welcome.

Hi @waitingforbabypage I'm also 35 and ttc for the first time. I know theres a lot of info out there about being older and it being harder ttc but I just ignore all that! We can't make ourselves younger so just got to give ourselves the best chance by taking the preconception vitamins, living a healthy lifestyle and dtd every other day!

I am charting my bbt and tried the opks the first cycle but probably won't bother again as I know myself that I can become quite consumed by these things and just trying to enjoy the process as much as possible.

I have 2 children from my previous relationship but my youngest is now 7. I didn’t chart anything with either of them as they both were (happy) accidents. I think my fear is now that I actually am trying, things will get in the way and we’ll struggle.
I reckon doing as you are and just enjoying the process is probably the best way to go. If in, say, 5 or 6 months and still no luck, we’ll revisit the tracking side of things but I’m happy to try and be relaxed over it.

Hope everything goes well on your journey @eternalflame2020, it’s all so very exciting! X
