Using these ovulation tests for the first time since we started ttc, I will attach a photo but does anyone know if this test looks like it's getting close to being peak, I know this one isn't peak, but the app still says its a low reading 🤔 thanks in advance ❤️

Hi @L12C28, have you got any other tests that you've done on previous days to compare it to? If all the ones you've done up til now have had very very faint lines then this one could mean you're approaching peak, but it's hard to say!
I've just started using these tests this cycle as well, and if I got that result it would be quite low for me, as I seem to keep getting LH surges Confused but I think it varies from woman to woman.
If you are seeing a stronger result than on previous days it might be worth testing more than once a day (if you're not already) to make sure you don't miss your peak, as I know that for some women it doesn't last long and so can be missed if you're only testing once every 24 hours.
Good luck! Grin

Thank you for replying! It's the first time I've ever used ovulation tests so I'm all new to this! Here's a pic of my chart, I'm testing twice a day 😊

Hi OP! If this is your first cycle using the OPKs and App, it will take a full cycle to work out your low, high and peak. Just keep testing 😊 I'm slightly alarmed that it thinks my peak was 0.51, but that's because that's the highest reading I've had so far (CD 15) and had a couple of lower readings since, but it could still change!

I'd say you're getting close to a peak though! Hopefully today? If they go faint again today I'd carry on testing for a bit just in case but would sort of assume you missed the peak overnight or in between test maybe.

Hi OP

I would suggest keeping the actual strips. You can make a little chart on an A4 sheet and glue them on each line. That will help you see the color change trend.

The app is good but depending on the light it might not read it properly. I log them on premom but also keep the strips.

Hth xx

I've found that the app takes pretty bad photos, it always takes me 10 tries to get it to focus! (In good daylight on white bg.) Might be because I have a really old phone ha. For me low is under 0.2, leading up to ovulation it is 0.4-0.6, high is 0.8 and peak is about 1. I've only had two reading over 1 since I started using it. The test sticks themselves are pretty good though as far as I can tell, would not invest in anything more expensive!!

Thank you so much everyone these tips are really helpful! I appreciate it ❤️

This is today's test, I think I'll definitely take the advice of keeping all the tests from now on as I can't really tell if this is darker than yesterdays, thanks for the advice everyone xx

@stepmumSW5 It's nice to see someone elses to compare to, the app still says mine is low but to me they look quite dark, I think I'll defo keep them all from now on to compare xx

Hi OP,
The app will not mark a peak until the T/C ratio goes down, but your tests are definitely positive since Aug.16th. Wink Time to BD, no need to wait for the appearance of the LH peak. Your peak fertility days are the day before the LH peak, the peak day, and the day after.
Fingers crossed.

Argh ok, related question girls: I should now finally be 4dpo at cd22 - (normally I ovulate cd13!) but today I woke up with a ton of ewcm. Any idea what that means? I already ovulated later than usual, and the opks were definitely positive, and then went back down to negative. What are the odds of ovulating a good four-five days after the positive opk? And if not, then... what? Because I ovulated so much later than usual I ran out of test sticks and cannot get a hold of more for at least a week (I order these off Amazon). I doubt I could be ovulating now because I have massively sore nipples (usually happens after) but at the same time I do feel some stabbing pains around my left ovary (usually happens around ovulation). I would bd just to make sure but omg we can't any more haha. Last time was Saturday and we're exhausted now lol. Going slightly nuts here!

L12C28 · 17/08/2020 09:29

@Louisa199 yeah we have been dtd over the weekend every other day and tried out the pre seed for the first time, never used opks so this is all new to me! Thanks so much for the advice 😊

L12C28 · 17/08/2020 09:31

@AnonymousXXIX sorry for tmi but if you've had sex recently it could be sperm? I'm a new to the opks and stuff, been ttc number 3 for the last 8 month and I feel like a first timer all over again 🙈😂

AnonymousXXIX · 17/08/2020 09:37

@L12C28 well last time was two days ago so not so recent (one of the things stressing me out slightly now!), and I am fairly certain I can tell the difference. Plus I had a very nice dream so that probably encouraged things ; )

I thought I understood pretty much everything at this stage after 6 months of tracking things, but this cycle has been wild...

L12C28 · 17/08/2020 09:52

@AnonymousXXIX hahah ahh then the dream could be the reason possibly 😂 I feel clueless every single month, wouldn't think I already had 2 children 😂

AnonymousXXIX · 21/08/2020 15:37

@Praying4aRainbow wow sorry no idea what is going on there, you seem to have a lot of LH all the time! Any accompanying symptoms?

Praying4aRainbow · 21/08/2020 15:56

None at all 😣 just realised it doesn't show me as the original poster any more, I changed my name

AnxiousAnnie86 · 22/08/2020 18:22

@prayingforarainbow hey, I only uSed those ones for one month as similarly to you they were all nearly positive!! I think they are too sensitive. I would say your peak is deffo when you thought..... I use the one step ones now xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 23/08/2020 08:48
