@Daffodil21 had a scan last week as having really bad cramping all the time for about 3 months. And found out I have fibroids now so I have that and PCOS to combat. Just waiting on a fertility appointment now but not hopeful. How are you ?

Daffodil21 · 28/08/2020 10:08

@hampshirerose34 oh no. So sorry you're having to deal with that. I don't really know anything about fibroids. Is it something that can be treated? I'm ok thanks, just waiting for AF to arrive now. We won't get any treatment until september next year so just going to keep trying and hoping it happens before then. Trying to make an effort to do other things and not let TTC take up too much headspace (ha)

Just did a FRER, got nothing Confused Let's see if I can hold off taking another until Monday!

acaciabluebell · 28/08/2020 14:02

I'm still really confused about my OPKs. I thought when I got this OPK on CD12 (pictured) that I was approaching my peak especially as I had lots of EWCM along with it. But I've been testing twice a day since then and they've all been very negative. I'm on CD15 now. I don't know if I should just keep testing or not. My Premom app is telling me that I already passed my peak. Past few cycles I've ovulated on CD20 so it's still 5 days 'early'.

Does anyone think this test looks dodgy? Both lines are quite faint. It was taken around 2pm with a 4+ hour hold. But every other test since then has been really negative, including the test I did on the same day at night.

Sorry to hear about the BFNs @CEW19 @Daffodil21 hopefully you'll get a better result in a couple of days!!

Daffodil21 · 28/08/2020 17:06

Does anyone know what the app is called where you can reverse the colours on a poss squinter?

I've been starving all day and then fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon. Woke up thought F it, lets POAS. It's an FRER one so I know notorious for indents etc so I just need to give myself a reality check!!

OP posts:
Daffodil21 · 28/08/2020 17:07

@acaciabluebell I've never used those OPKs before so not much help I'm afraid, but I thought as long as it was the same or darker than the control that you were ovulating/about to ovulate? That doesn't look like a particularly strong control line but I'm not sure it matters?

Never mind - I'm just inverting on photoshop and struggling to see much 😂🙈

@daffofil21 my fingers and toes are crossed for this one!

AlisonT13 · 29/08/2020 08:40

@acaciabluebell This test seems close to positive and if you usually ovulate on CD20, then please keep testing. Premom will readjust the O day if you found out your LH peak.

Daffodil21 · 29/08/2020 08:42

BFN this morning. In lovely clear letters 😒

Tofu35 · 29/08/2020 11:45

Aww @Daffodil21 I'm so sorry :( I hope next month is your month! Hope the no testing/monitoring rule is the magic ingredient xx

Daffodil21 · 29/08/2020 11:50

@Tofu35 thanks. Obviously I've spent half the morning googling how reliable CB digis are before AF and looking at the bloody FRER. I think I'm going to pull it apart like a crazy person 😂

Almost everything I've read had said CB digis should only be done after AF due, but then almost everything I've read said be wary of very very faint lines on FRERs. I am obsessed 🙈🙈 AF should be here tomorrow or Monday to put me out of my misery!!!

BellaBella84 · 29/08/2020 12:20

Oh ladies why do you torture yourselves testing too early? I know it's hard, believe me I do. But by holding out until after you'd normally expect your period you are less likely to get vague hard to interpret lines, or false negatives, or find out about those zygotes that didn't quite make it to embryo stage. Please don't take this as the voice of doom and gloom, I'm in the two week wait too. On that note I'm off to clean the bathroom again!

Daffodil21 · 29/08/2020 12:25

@BellaBella84 this is my last month of tracking so the last time I'll know when AF due as it varies a lot. I thought I'd indulge myself and just test as I expected to see complete white as usual so I could stop thinking about it. I've never used a FRER and tbh I don't think I will again!!! There is a line but I don't think there's any colour in it

OP posts:
BellaBella84 · 29/08/2020 12:43

@Daffodil21 How long have you been tracking for and what's your length of cycle variance?

Daffodil21 · 29/08/2020 12:51

@BellaBella84 they vary from about 32-37 days typically but have also had several 42/43 day cycles. Last month was 50 days 😒 I've been trying for almost 2 years so have tracked some months and not others. The reason I tracked this month and last month was to time a progesterone blood test

OP posts:
acaciabluebell · 29/08/2020 17:16

Urghh I'm so frustrated! I had the "nearly positive' looking OPK on CD12 so thought maybe I was ovulating early. We had DTD a lot around then.

Today it's CD16 and my OPKs are darkening again.... coinciding with my husband being away for work for 4 days!!! We haven't DTD since CD14 and won't be able to again till CD18. I'm sooo annoyed that this whole month might be a total waste

BellaBella84 · 29/08/2020 19:20

Agh@Daffodil21 that is maddening. Mine used to vary from 26 to 43 throughout my 20s and early 30s which was bad enough. I hope your blood tests prove helpfull 🤞

Daffodil21 · 29/08/2020 19:31

@BellaBella84 yeah it's very annoying, but then I've never had a regular cycle so I don't know any different! Thanks, it's the progesterone one to check I'm ovulating. I had it last year and have (unsuccessfully) conceived twice so doc is just doing another to tick the fertility clinic box. If it comes back that I haven't ovulated I will be surprised as this is the one test I was almost confident about, so let's hope that doesn't happen.

Got the sensitive CB (non digital) to do tomorrow. I just can't help myself this time 😳🙈

BellaBella84 · 29/08/2020 19:49

@Daffodil21 I'm in emotional PMT hell right now. There's just a part of me which is like ooh that could also be early pregnancy, and then my logical head returns again. Honestly if I get a positive pregnancy test next week you'll be able to knock me over with a feather! (Still refusing to write BFP on principle! 🤣)

babblebeee · 29/08/2020 19:59

Hope it's okay to join the thread. We're sort of trying ttc. Not doing ovulation tests or anything, but have been tracking my periods for years so dtd on and around ovulation. I ovulated today and dtd early hours of the morning and also about a week ago. I haven't stopped peeing all day which isn't like me, maybe a sign of ovulation. AF due 13th sept

Daffodil21 · 29/08/2020 21:12

@BellaBella84 oh nooo! Get yourself some nice treats just had a little brown when wiping (sorry for tmi) so expecting AF to slowly arrive tomorrow and then be in full force Monday or tuesday

@babblebeee welcome to the thread. Hope you get lucky early on and don't have to TTC for too long!

BellaBella84 · 30/08/2020 09:30

@Daffodil21 At least it'll be another month to drop a few more pre pregnancy pounds 👍

Daffodil21 · 30/08/2020 10:14

@BellaBella84 thanks, that actually a brilliant way of looking at it. I'm going to make that my goal this cycle. We don't own scales so I don't actually know how much I weigh now, but could definitely do with losing a stone! (How did that happen?! 😳)

Did a CB early detection this morning and it couldn't have been whiter! Not buying FRERs ever again!

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday x
