@CEW19 thanks I will be fine just disappointed and a bit angry 😂... Hope your consultation goes well
@Daffodil21 sound like a sensible idea, this group definitely won't be the same without you though! I will definitely be back on mn, just feel like I might take a break for the next cycle, I'm going on holiday as well so it makes sense to just take a breather. No I haven't had my hormones tested, haven't had any tests done actually.
@Tofu35 the first few months weren't as serious for us either, but I just thought it would have happened by now! Definitely feels like a shite milestone to be approaching. I remember feeling particularly crappy when we reached the 6 month mark as well.

Daffodil21 · 24/08/2020 18:18

@Bam27 it might be worth going to the docs now and not waiting until 12 months to get the ball rolling. You maybe won't feel as deflated if you feel like something is getting done? Just say it's been 12 months...

@Tofu35 yay!

Welliedays · 24/08/2020 18:48

@daffodil21 @bam27 ahh no I'd miss you both if you take a break! I find MN gives me peace of mind rather than makes me stress about it more. I love being able to chat about what's happening openly rather than keeping it such a secret like I am doing in real life! Your support over my positives when you're desperate for your own as been a lifesaver at stopping me stressing so much after my chemical last month.
Had a busy day today so I'm hoping littlr bean is happy, literally no symptoms today except feeling tired.. But I'm starting to think that's just my life now hahaha

Bam27 · 24/08/2020 19:16

@Daffodil21 I would but oh isn't keen on the idea, he's very relaxed about it all 🙄 doesn't think there is anything to worry about. I'm the opposite, I'm convinced it's because I've got endo, although I've already had this treated so there wouldn't be much more they could do. I've read that even after treatment some people with endo have fertility problems.
@WellieDays the support from this group has been amazing and if I feel I need to talk I will. Even when I haven't posted though I've been reading everyday and I think I just need to think about something else other than ttc. I won't be deleting the app just going to try and forget about it for a month.

Bam27 · 24/08/2020 19:22

@Daffodil21 am I right in thinking they won't do anything yet because I had a chemical in June? So therefore technically was able to get pregnant. I could just not tell them but it's on my records.

Daffodil21 · 24/08/2020 19:28

@Bam27 @Welliedays immediately after I said that, I was wondering if I do actually want to leave the group too... I won't be able to completely switch off from TTC - how can you when you have to make sure you dtd every 2-3 days, plus I'm taking supplements with every meal. I think having my course will really help, but actually I think I might stick around on here a bit longer! I haven't been posting much in the last few days as trying to take some time to enjoy with the in-laws, but I have been reading every post! Thankfully I've already ovulated so we didn't have to worry about dtd with them next door!!

I think you're right, it is great to have a little outlet and talk to people going through the same thing. I think now knowing where I am in my cycle will be the most important thing for me - it will be nice not to know when I'm in the TWW! I'm already symptom spotting at 8dpo 🙈 (I think I was at 1DPO tbf!)

@Welliedays I'm sure all the other not-so-pleasant symptoms will be along soon! Hope you have a lovely pregnancy and don't have any bad symptoms!

@Bam27 maybe you could go on your own? Or would you prefer to wait until he will and go together? All the tests are done at separate appointments, in fact I'm not even sure if we ever had a joint appointment? I certainly can't remember one!

Daffodil21 · 24/08/2020 19:30

Ah sorry for the bold text again!

@Bam27 I'm not too sure about that actually... I just wouldn't say anything and see if they pick up on it.... I still had tests done 3 months after my last MC so that didn't stop them investigating. The only thing it had an effect on was with the fertility clinic and IVF (seems like a stupid rule to me but there we are!)

OP posts:
Bam27 · 24/08/2020 20:07

@Daffodil21 maybe I will just start with talking to my GP and just see what she suggests. Honestly think oh is just scared of having tests done, but doesn't stop me having them if they suggest it.

Daffodil21 · 24/08/2020 20:44

@Bam27 I get that, but he'd feel even worse if he waited and found out there was a problem... if a problem is found it doesn't mean you can't have children it just means they'll be able to offer treatment. The sooner you get checked the sooner you can take action, or have peace of mind and stop worrying about it. Maybe talk to him again and if not go ahead and get yourself checked at least?

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 24/08/2020 21:19

Hey @Bam27 I'm in Scotland, the first tests I got done (earlier this month) was bloods- its a full hormone profile. I went alone but then DH asked for his bloods done separately. Think he was waiting to see if I had any low levels before he got his done! It was a bit nerve-wracking waiting for the results, but @daffodil21 is right- we felt productive that month!

@Daffodil21- your text isn't showing up as bold on my screen, just everyone's name! Unless I'm also guilty of bold text, oh no!

acaciabluebell · 25/08/2020 13:45

Hey guys so... for the past 3 cycles I've ovulated on CD20. I'm on CD12 right now, only about a week after my period ended and I noticed some EWCM. I normally get EWCM on and off prior to ovulation, so I still wasn't expecting my fertile window/ovulation for another week. But I did an OPK just for the sake of it (first OPK this month) and the test line is already as dark as the control line?! Whaaa

Tofu35 · 25/08/2020 13:58

@acaciabluebell, ohh! An early one for you this month! Would you consider doing a clear blue ovulation test too? Might confirm your early dark line.

Good luck in FW!

acaciabluebell · 25/08/2020 15:04

Don't have any CB @Tofu35! And too late to order it now methinks.

I was waiting for my FW to use Preseed and all of a sudden I have an almost positive OPK and have used absolutely none 😂

Tofu35 · 25/08/2020 17:20

@acaciabluebell with good ewcm and a dark line, are you just taking this as an early FW? Definitely not time to get other tests bought!

CEW19 · 26/08/2020 08:40

Think I'm out. AF has come two days early, which is a first. DH and I both booked in for tests now though, so on to the next step!

How's everyone doing?

BellaBella84 · 26/08/2020 10:33

Ugh knowing that anti histamines dry up EWCM does not help me when I'm sneezing and snotting all over the place! Very thankfull to be out my FW now even though it's the dreaded TWW. Anyone else been suffering with their hayfever lately?

Tofu35 · 26/08/2020 11:29

@cew19 that's rubbish AF arrived but glad you have tests this month- I found it helped me feel less helpless about the whole thing, like I was being productive (if that makes sense). Good luck!

Oh poor you @bellabella84, having to go through FW with hayfever symptoms :( think a few of us are in the TWW just now, plenty of room for one more!

I'm day 5/6 into the TWW and i felt a bit queasy the last few days so now I'm full symptom spotting. What a clown, I need to calm down or I'll be climbing the walls next week!

BellaBella84 · 26/08/2020 11:39

Cheers @Tofu35! I've got one week until I can test but at 35 TTC #1 I never let myself get too hopefull. Also, sneezing when you work at the hospital is hilarious! It's like I've sneezed into my elbow, I've got a mask on, I promise it's just hayfever, please don't lock me in a cupboard! 🤣

Daffodil21 · 26/08/2020 11:40

@CEW19 oh no! Hope you're okay!!

Currently 10dpo. The wonderful distraction of the in-laws visiting has gone so now I'm back wfh obsessing. Ordered FRERs to be delivered tomorrow so I can indulge myself and test early. They won't be delivered until mid morning so I won't be able to test until Friday. AF due either Sunday on Monday. Wasn't planning on testing early ever again, but I figured this is the last month of tracking so the last month I'll know for sure when AF will be so may as well just go with it and put myself out of my misery sooner rather than later!!

How is everyone else doing?

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 26/08/2020 11:49

Haha @BellaBella84 they are definitely preparing the quarantine cupboard for you! I'm in the same boat, 35 TTC#1.

How were the in-laws @daffodil21? I think testing Friday for a AF on Sunday is okay, it's not too early. And as you say, if you're going off grid next month, this can be the final splurge on early tests!

Daffodil21 · 26/08/2020 11:59

@Tofu35 I wish I ordered them a bit earlier so I could do one tomorrow morning but never mind. I'll just have to distract myself with work. Having the in-laws to stay was lovely. We managed to go out and about and do some lovely things which is something we haven't really had chance to do since we moved here because of lockdown!

@BellaBella84 oh no!! You should write on your mask 'it's ok, it's hay fever' 😂

OP posts:
Daffodil21 · 26/08/2020 12:00

@Tofu35 when are you planning on testing?

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 26/08/2020 13:26

According to my app, it was meant to be next Friday, but it's changed now to next Wednesday @Daffodil21. So if I'm impatient, I'll probably do an early one on Monday, otherwise I'll test at the end of next week (although the mood I'm in just now, that isn't going to happen 😂).

How is your acupuncture going?

CEW19 · 26/08/2020 13:33

Thanks @Tofu35 @Daffodil21. Feel better now that I've got some tests booked in, makes me feel a bit more in control. Though I'm second-guessing myself now too. AF would usually come between Fri-Sunday and I haven't had any bleeding since I wiped first thing this morning. Going to see if anything else happens over next few days, but probably just overthinking. Again!

Good luck with the TWW @Tofu35!

Hope you manage to distract yourself from now until Friday @Daffodil21. 1.5 days to get through!

Daffodil21 · 26/08/2020 13:43

@CEW19 it's going to be a long 1.5 days! Yesterday I googled how early frequent urination starts (it's not a symptom, it's just me and my pathetic bladder!). Today I've been convincing myself that my boobs are tender and a little bigger, when realistically it's just lockdown weight!
Oooh keep us posted... it doesn't sound like you're out just yet...

@Tofu35 it's reflexology, not acupuncture. I'm too much of a wimp for acupuncture although I might brave it if we're still TTC in a year! Reflexology is good, ive had 3 sessions so far and feel like I have much more energy so I think I'm going to keep it up. I've dropped down to just once a month now though. I did have a flashing smiley at start sooner after reflexology, literally the next morning! But overall ovulation was 'usual' for me, and it just meant I got 9 days of that bloody flashing smiley face.
Also nothing wrong with early testing!
