So don't judge me, but I did a test this morning, and I'm not due on my period for like... 9/10 days😬
I know it's silly, but I'm sure so many people will understand when you're desperately ttc.

Anyways. I got a line... so I was like wtf surely not. (I'll post pics below of the line I got) then not long later I did another and it was negative? Is it because it wasn't my first morning wee? I'm very confused. And so so hopeful that I'm pregnant.

Last month I had a chemical pregnancy so my cycles a little all over the place this month.

I'm a bit confused

They say try not yo test with your first morning pee because ph levels. But fingers crossed, i do see a faint line

SunnySideUp2020 · 13/08/2020 10:39

this test looks positive!
Try a frer tonight after holding for a couple of hours, i am sure you will get a line :)

Wait so I shouldn't test with my first morning wee?

A lot of people use FMU as it's often the most concentrated and therefore best for seeing an early BFP.

When you say your period isn't due for 9/10 days... does that mean you track ovulation using OPKs or BBT?

Libt · 13/08/2020 11:54

Well, I had a chemical last month so my cycles a bit all over the place this month.
I haven't used ovulation tests. I just have an app, so I'm not really sure when I've ovulated accurately!

@Libt well if this test is valid then it is positive, and an early response with a decent hold would definitely show it too, and would be more reliable. But obviously you can also do tomorrow morning...

Curiosity101 · 13/08/2020 12:25

Have you had a negative test since your chemical?

This is a reasonably strong positive for an IC. I agree that a Clear blue weeks indicator or a FRER should be able to confirm it for you but as long as you had a negative test after your chemical then it's probably safe to say you're pregnant.

You probably ovulated earlier than expected.

Hey,

This sounds just like what happened to me this month but hopefully it isn’t what’s happening to you...

I also had a chemical pregnancy a couple of months ago and the following month I believe I fell pregnant but it was never viable so the tests came back negative around when my period would have been, then my period came which was actually part one of the misscariage, a week later somehow my hgc levels rised enough to give me a positive pregnancy test which baffled me as according to my calendar i wasn’t due on my period for another two weeks so didn’t understand how a test could be positive so soon, i did cheapies and a FRER and they were clear positives. Sadly three days later I started to bleed and the following day the lines started to fade again. I believe this was part two of the miscarriage.

I know it’s so tempting but I think early testing causes so much unneeded anxiety and pain. Stay healthy and look after yourself and test when your period is due I’d say... at least then you’ll have a more accurate result you can trust and you won’t be consumed by the lines.

I know that’s easier said than done and I doubt I’ll even follow my own advice next month.

I hope it is a BFP for you though! And am crossing my fingers!
