Polystic ovaries but not PCOS?

Hey everyone! Thanks for reading :)

I had a scan last month while getting my tubes checked, all was clear and well but the doctor said my ovaries were polystic but that I didn't have PCOS :/ has anyone had this and did you struggle with getting pregnant because of this? Any tips or advise? There's not much about it online!

Hi!

I was told I have the same, cysts on my ovaries but no hormonal issues so not PCOS. I can’t really remember any further details they gave me as my scan was about 5 years ago but to reassure you, I conceived DD the first month of trying x

You have PCOS if you have 2 of the 3 following things:
• polycystic ovaries
• higher androgen/testosterone levels
• irregular cycles

@Amelia891 thank you! I have a 9 year old son but been trying now for 13 months for my 2nd, so was wondering if it was to do with my polystic ovaries lol. He did say to me it can happen from simply putting 1kg of weight on! So weird x

@stellarfox thank you, my cycles are very regular 29 days and I ovulate cd15 every single time. I'll look into getting my testosterone checked

Hiya - I had exactly this when trying for my first!

Super super long cycles (longest was into triple digits!) while trying meant I went to the GP and had blood tests and scans. Bloods were all fine but was told both ovaries presented as polycystic, however I was told I did not have PCOS.

I did fall pregnant naturally about a month after the scan, with my now 19 month old. My periods returned when she was 11.5 months, I conceived again in one cycle when she was 15 months. Unfortunately this ended in miscarriage with prolonged bleeding so I had another internal scan which this time showed no signs of polycystic ovaries. I’m still confused by the whole thing!

My ovaries turned out to be polycystic but blood tests were normal. Cycles slightly longer, 32 days or so & slight variation but only by a couple of days. Longest it’s taken me to conceive is 3 months.

I was told I have cystic ovaries too but not pcos. I conceived DD in 7 months but not been able to conceive a second after 2 years of trying!

Yes I have PCO - 2 years on TTC. Starting IVF 😔

I have pco. I conceived my dd, although I don't know if I had PCO then, after 9 months. Been trying for dc2 for 2 1/2 years with just one early miscarriage month 2 and started ivf earlier this year with no joy yet.
