Hey guys, just checking in and saying hello after being off thread for a while.

@Tigger1987 Congratulations, that's such a strong line for only 11dpo! Looking forward to seeing it get stronger 😊

@kirinm 10dpo is still so early so you're definitely not out yet. Have you got the information you want from the viral specialist yet?

@MrsB2019x I hope the relaxed approach works for you this cycle. You've got this 💪🏻

@Sansa87 How are you feeling? Hope you feel reassured after your scan.

@stickytoffeepud1991 Sorry AF arrived. Regarding your question about ovulation, I've only ever tracked BBT via the natural cycles app. I think it could predict ovulation fairly well because I use to use it to prevent pregnancy so I had all the previous data to strengthen the algorithm. I found OPKs added too much stress to TTC. I hope this next cycle is yours x

@claireb7rg Sorry for everything you're going through at the moment. Thinking of you and you DP x

kirinm · 24/09/2020 10:09

Hi @BuckleUp how are you doing? How many weeks are you now?

I haven't heard back from the virologist yet but I did speak to a Doctor friend who contracted the virus during pregnancy. She, understandably, spent a LOT of time researching and speaking with other doctors and said that basically the risks are significantly reduced if there is a reactivation of the virus during pregnancy. Apparently despite the virus being so common, there is very little known about it and although I could wait to try again, it would probably only help my anxiety rather than be a necessity.

Once I realised the risks we didn't "try" but by that point, I had probably already ovulated - don't know for sure as I ran out of OPKs. I'm just desperate for a baby and finding it hard now that so many people around me are getting pregnant more so because I know I have a very limited window now.

We had an absolutely appalling night with my DD last night. She was up multiple times and I'm feeling a bit crap today. Very mild nausea but I think honestly that is probably sleep deprivation.

BuckleUp · 24/09/2020 12:46

@kirinm I'm 11 weeks now and my scan is next Tuesday. Hoping everything is all good. I'm sorry you had a bad night last night. It must be hard when you know so many people around you are pregnant. I hope you get some better sleep tonight x

kirinm · 24/09/2020 12:52

@BuckleUp wow, that time has flown by so quickly - I appreciate it probably doesn't feel like that to you! Good luck for your scan next week. Let us know how you get on x

BuckleUp · 24/09/2020 13:00

@kirinm Thanks, it does feel very slow, but I'm grateful I've reached this point. I'll let you know how I get on 😊

kirinm · 24/09/2020 14:01

Just had a text from my GP - the fetal medicine specialist said basically there wasn't anything to worry about and I wouldn't need any additional testing in pregnancy - that isn't actually what I asked but I've also heard from the CMV charity - recommended on the NHS website and they are going to speak to a medical advisor and get back to me. I don't think I'm pregnant this month anyway but it all sounds like we will be good to properly try next month.

BuckleUp · 24/09/2020 14:27

@kirinm That's great news! Thanks for the update 😊. Take care x

Sansa87 · 26/09/2020 08:47

Hi girls, how is everyone?

I’ve got a private scan booked for today, & SHITTING it.

I’ve got pain, but hoping it’s constipation. It’s the first scan oh will be allowed in at, he wasn’t allowed to any in the previous pregnancy, nor was he allowed in the one in EPU just over a week ago.

Just praying there’s still a heartbeat, & #PrayingForPoop

whambam89 · 26/09/2020 10:05

@sansa87 let us know how you get on!

I'm CD12 today so about 4 days until ovulation based on previous months but not using OPKs this month so not 100% sure

kirinm · 26/09/2020 11:10

Good luck @Sansa87

I'm 13dpo. Lots of BFNs and now having period pains. Disappointed but there we go.

LT103 · 26/09/2020 11:41

@Sansa87 send us a photo!!! Hope everything goes well!!!!!!😁😁😁

Sansa87 · 26/09/2020 17:54

They’ve changed from 7+5 to 8+2

Strong heart beat, all looking good, so my pain must be constipation.

whambam89 · 26/09/2020 18:59

@sansa87 great news! How exciting for you x

claireb7rg · 26/09/2020 21:16

Aaaaw lovely news @Sansa87 ☺️

Sorry but I've taken a step back from conception threads at the moment. Trying to get my head round things, we are now looking into adoption, partner doesn't want to commit to ivf but our referral to the sub fertility clinic has been sent off.

Am currently cd7 so have started opks but don't think I'm going to be buying anymore once this box is done 😢

LT103 · 27/09/2020 13:05

Awww @Sansa87 I’m so happy for you!!! Here’s to a nice healthy 30odd weeks for you! Hopefully you will be able to relax and enjoy it all soon!!

MrsB2019x · 27/09/2020 14:00

Ahhh @Sansa87 look at that beautiful little bean! So happy for you. Bet your OH was over the moon too ☺️

So sorry you’re struggling @claireb7rg 💕 look after yourself x

@kirinm Has AF showed today?

I’m currently CD15, still not on the OPKs and haven’t missed them tbh. Probs be ovulating in the next couple of days though.

kirinm · 27/09/2020 17:45

@MrsB2019x no, AF is due tomorrow. I've had really bad period cramps and aches today and yesterday. Definitely worse than usual. BFN again today.

kirinm · 27/09/2020 17:55

@MrsB2019x good to hear you're enjoying taking a more relaxed approach. It is definitely the opposite for me as I hate not being sure when I ovulated!

stickytoffeepud1991 · 27/09/2020 18:53

Hi ladies.
Been absent for a few days only cause I have nothing to report. CD6 so about to start testing once a day using my cheap opks.
@Sansa87 that is amazing congratulations beautiful little bean. Also forgot to ask I ordered some of them CB advanced digital opks and just wondering how often you tested using them and if you had a static smiley did you dtd on that day? (I think static smiley is peak isn’t it?)
@kirinm so sorry that you’ve had a BFN 😔 so exhausting every month getting a bfn.
@Tigger1987 that’s an amazing line!! Congratulations lovely 😻
@MrsB2019x exciting!! I love fertile week only cause it’s exciting fx this is your month!! Xxx

Sansa87 · 27/09/2020 19:08

@stickytoffeepud1991 that’s my results. Mine was obvs a bit iffy that month due to the surgery, but the first month was perfect. I tested once a day, and as soon as I got the flashing smiley we started dtd when we could, & then dtd when we got peak. Obviously we were incredibly lucky and it worked both times.

stickytoffeepud1991 · 27/09/2020 19:20

@Sansa87 thanks hun really helpful.
I haven’t got the Bluetooth one mind I’ve just got the normal sticks so I don’t think I can use that app. Xx

Sansa87 · 27/09/2020 19:28

@stickytoffeepud1991 the app doesn’t do anything that any other app will do. I just got caught up with how fancy it sounded 😂 it probably took more time having the sync it every morning than it would do just using another app tbh.

MrsB2019x · 27/09/2020 19:51

@kirinm It’s relaxing so far, but my body will let me know the day after I ovulate so it’ll be interesting to see how I am in the TWW! Sorry you got another BFN today x

Thanks @stickytoffeepud1991 I hope so! Good luck for yours 😁

stickytoffeepud1991 · 27/09/2020 21:13

@Sansa87 thank you anyway!! X

@MrsB2019x thanks hun! Ohh how does your body know when it’s ovulated Xx

MrsB2019x · 28/09/2020 07:33

@stickytoffeepud1991 My nips are like razors the day after 🤭😂
