OPK positive for the past 6 days, sometimes three times a day, is this a thing?? Anyone know what's going on??

Are you pregnant?! OPK can also be used as pregnancy tests. I got my first BFP with my youngest on a OPK!

Thanks for replying! I did a PG test three days ago which was negative. Going to go get a stack of them from Poundland now. Shock

@ChickenFriedFudge OPKs measure the LH surge, which triggers ovulation. You can't ovulate 6 days in a row, I believe the egg is only viable for around 12-24 hours and ovulation only occurs once per cycle. Either your LH is high, but not high enough to trigger ovulation yet, or your body has tried to ovulate, failed and is trying again. Once LH is low again you can be pretty confident you've ovulated, however the only way to confirm ovulation is through charting BBT. Hope that makes sense x

Maybe they aren't totally positive

This happened to me this week too : o Had a mild line CD 11, then consistently clear lines CD 12-16, and now a very strong line on CD 17 finally. But I normally always ovulate CD 12-13 so this is highly unusual. I did finally properly get out of the house this weekend though, for the first time in 5 months, and went hiking for a few days - do you think the 'exercise' caused the delay? (I do normally work out three times a week plus daily walks etc. so I did not think it was that excessive!)

ChickenFriedFudge · 12/08/2020 16:06

Thanks @MintGreenLife . Do I track BBT just with a normal thermometer?
I've just bought digital ovulation tests from boots and it's negative. So probably something to do with the old tests! PG test also negative but not due to test until around 21st.
@AnonymousXXIX very odd! I'm not sure, I'm sure it's possible though!

@ChickenFriedFudge you need a thermometer that is accurate to 2 decimal places. Most standard ones just have 1 decimal place. I just searched bbt thermometer on Amazon and got a cheap one, although you can get fancier ones that sync with apps!

I just got a peak again today as well! That's a line CD 11, clear lines CD 12-16, and dark lines CD 17-18 now. This has not happened at all since I started tracking it. It is always low on CD 11, bit more CD 12, peak CD 13, an then very low again CD 14, with a maximum of 1 day variation (earlier rather than later in that case).

Hi girls - I've been getting consistently high and peak OPK readings since CD6 and I'm on CD19 now.
Decent lines most days and I've had two or three darker than control peaks too...I'm curious if we're all using the same sticks - is it Femometer by any chance?
Im beginning to wonder if it's a dodgy batch I've got. I cannot make sense of it at all.
Tried a FRER this time last week on CD12 - my first proper darker than control day - and got BFN. Haven't tested since but not convinced I'm pregnant to be honest.
Starting to worry a little bit that somethings wrong with me if I'm totally honest 🥺

Meme69 · 13/08/2020 21:39

I recently had a dodgy batch of Ovasense ones that showed a strong line (not quite positive) on every single one. I used the same urine with a one step opk and it didn't show a line at all.

MissBPotter · 13/08/2020 22:03

This happened to me when I got pregnant with dd2. Check in a few days on a pregnancy test.

Mama1993 · 14/08/2020 07:53

This happened to me this month , turned out to be hgc x

mrswilso · 14/08/2020 13:16

How you getting on @ChickenFriedFudge - I just tried another cheap Freedom stick HCG test and it's stark white...so confused 😭

AnonymousXXIX · 14/08/2020 16:41

Ok today (CD19) my opk finally measured as very low again. No idea when I really ovulated now though ... Would it have been the usual CD13 ish, or yesterday, or even today? We dtd pretty much all week except yesterday when we were just too busy with work. (Pretty impressed with that tbh haha; but also worried we missed the 1 actual day?!)

mrswilso · 15/08/2020 16:25

...I know I shouldn't have but I was throwing that cheapie stick test I done yesterday in the bin (had done it at work and hidden it away in my handbag) and opened the box...a full 24 hours later and I've got a weird line...I'm fully thinking it's an evap but have no experience at all with this...does an evap have colour to it? I swear it's got a pink tinge...

MissBPotter · 15/08/2020 18:38

An evap wouldn’t have color!

mrswilso · 15/08/2020 18:39

@MissBPotter what do you think? I'm so scared to get my hopes up cos I know it's been far too long past the time window!

How can I be ovulating SIX DAYS IN A ROW??
MissBPotter · 15/08/2020 21:19

It looks like it could be! You’ll have to try again tomorrow or monday, good luck xx

Ovitrelle & BBT

Hello, I’ve never posted on anything like this before but I can’t find out my answer with Google so thought you could help?

I have PCOS and have been TTC for 1 year. I have ovulated naturally during that year three times. I tried clomid 50mg but it didn’t work. Then I tried clomid 100mg and had ultrasounds to check follicle progress. On CD 17 I had a 17mm follicle so my dr gave me the Ovitrelle trigger shot. Now it’s CD 24 and I haven’t had a temp rise. I’ve had a progesterone blood test and I’m waiting on the results. Do you know if it’s normal not to see a temp rise when having Ovitrelle? I’m worried it’s failed but I thought it was fool proof?

Thanks for your comments x
