Hi,

Just looking for advice really, so me and DH are now in our 4th month TTC. I have been really stressed and had a really tough time at work up until a few weeks ago.

Anyway, when it comes to my cycle I am now on CD22 of a 28 day cycle, sorry for tmi but when I wiped after going to the loo there was SO much EWCM like I've never experienced before, I'm not sure on the exact day I ov'd so its difficult to pinpoint that but what could this be? I've never had so much EWCM as I did this morning and I'm pretty sure my fertile window has passed

Thanks in advance :)

Either you've ovulated late this cycle or if you're 5-8dpo you could be having a secondary oestrogen surge (totally normal) which sometimes produces a second round of EWCM. I'd DTD just in case it was late ovulation though!

@Juno231 thank you, what does this mean in terms of conception? I know its not going to be immediate I've just not had this before or heard of a secondary oestrogen surge

Are you using OPKs or just going off EWCM? You could be ovulating later in your cycle or it might be unrelated to ovulation.

I had lots of EWCM at CD 6+7 this cycle and thought I was ovulating v early but my Clear blue ovulation kit gave me peak fertility on CD12 so the discharge could be unrelated

@Bethy1995 it doesn't mean anything, it's quite a common thing to have but doesn't mean a BFP or BFN - just something that happens.

Might be worth you tracking BBT if you are concerned you may be missing your FW :)

I'm not using opk's, I'm using Ovia app though to track my cycle. I'm glad it's normal though

I recommend temping or using OPKs to give you a clearer idea of when you ovulate if you are TTC

I agree with @ShalomToYouJackie - unless you DTD every 2 days throughout the cycle you're at risk of misjudging FW each time!
