New to these message boards so excuse me as I’m not up to speed with the lingo yet.
I’m TTC baby no. 2 and been trying for 3 months. I know it’s not long in the grand scheme of things, but I’m very anxious. DS1 was conceived the first time we tried- I was very, very lucky. It has kind of got my hopes up that we’d find it easy second time round though.
My question is I’m wondering if anyone else has a long cycle and early ovulation? It makes it feel like such a long wait to find out if I’m pregnant each month.
My cycle is about 31-32 days.
Ovulation happens CD13/14.
So the ‘two week wait’ is more like 19 days for me. It’s such a long time and I’m struggling to cope in the week or so before my period is due, as it just feels like forever waiting.
I managed to not test at all last month but caved this month and got a negative test at CD 28. I ended up thinking ‘well maybe the test will show as positive in a few days if I just wait til my period is technically late’ (all the while knowing, ovulation was 16 days ago, it would almost definitely show on a test by now). Argh!
Would love to hear from anyone else about their experiences with this or similar long agonising ‘2ww’ with a longer cycle.
