Am I spotting

Hey guys just a quick one. So I'm due on today and last night I had a shooting pain as I sat on the toilet. And then as I wiped a smear of bloody appeared so I was like right I'm coming on my period.
So last night I put a tampon in and went to change it this morning but there was not a lot of blood on it.
So all day I have not worn anything and there is still no sign of a period.
Has anyone experienced this?
Can it be a sign of spotting?
Help me please 😊

I'm pretty sure I ovulated around 19th -25th

That's quite a wide range of ovulation, presumably that was just your estimated fertile window with ovulation estimated on the 25th. But if we assume that you have an average luteal phase (time between ovulation and period) of 12-14 days then it means your period should be due anywhere from 31st July - 8th August.

If it was just your fertile window and your estimated ovulation is 25th July then your period would probably be due 6th-8th Aug which fits with what you were expecting.

I'd expect that AF has arrived and is just slow to get going.

This reads that you ovulated (our the app expected you to) on 24th. However unless you are using opks or BBT its really just a guess. I'd take a test, if you ovulated then, you should get a clear result

The app is showing fertile days. The O on 24th - cycle day 11 is the day of actual ovulation, the fertile day after is because the egg can survive up to 12-24 hours after it is released. If anything it looks like it is predicting your period 14 days after ovulation and you have a cycle length of 26 days. In reality, unless you are temping or using opks the app is guessing based on the "average" woman.

My cycle is around 27 days but with opks I can tell that sometimes I ovulate on CD 12 sometimes as late as cd16. Temping and opks help pin point this. My lutal phase (the time after ovulation is always 13 days.
