@Elakiya the positive is you had family and friend support this weekend. My progesterone levels also mess with me really bad. Last week I was paranoid something terrible was going to happen and I was just waiting for it to happen (nothing happened)

I am so sorry you are feeling this I can honestly say I empathise with you, its so tough to keep going when so many around us are conceiving with little to no difficulty. I have felt this way many many times and after this last cycle I know I have gone too far because of how obsessed I became. This cycle I am going to throw myself into my work and back to reading my favourite authors during the week and get busy on the weekends. I know this is way easier said then done especially when the positive hormone estrogen leaves and is replaced by progesterone but for my mental health and sanity I have to take a step back I am also going to stop testing for pg so much.

Is there anything you can do to help take your mind off things? Do you chat to hubby about these things or is it a bit too awkward?

@candycrush2298 you’re definitely the most amazing person I know ( well not in irl but you know what I mean). You get up every month and you keep positive. I don’t have the stamina or the strength to do what you do.

I feel like I am quite stepped back. I don’t of test. I should really be studying for exams in October and I’m not so that should be the way I should distract myself.

Hubby is the worst to talk to about these things. He thinks I am obsessive and need to stop thinking about this stuff and just carry on with life and let nature run it’s course. I don’t like talking to him about this stuff. He’s a bit heartless.

candycrush2298 · 09/08/2020 22:51

@Elakiya awww thank you hun that's so sweet. But look at how strong you are. You have taken all the doctors advice despite what your body is doing and doing everything you can to give yourself the best fighting chance you can. That in itself should tell how strong you really are. Someone who was lazy or not invested would have just said f that everyone else who is same as me didn't do these things and got pregnant so will I. But not you, you are doing everything you can and once you do succeed you want to share your knowledge with others that have gone through the same thing as you so that they can hopefully also start their family that is extreme compassion and massive heart 💜 think of all your positives and you will see what a fighter you are despite how uncomfortable or unpleasant sex is for you, you keep going every second day or every day to give yourself the best fighting chance ❤ 💙

Then focus on your exams through yourself into your work and kick ass in it.

I understand, I dont think he is trying to be heartless he is just a man and they expect us to think like them. Could you chat to a friend or family member? I mean you always have us in here to chat too, but I know that sometimes its just nice to have someone we love and care about be there for us.

@Elakiya I’m the same with progesterone. It makes me feel awful every month I’m getting sick of it

Anyone testing this week then?
I’m 5dpo and due on Friday-saturday
I have my 7DPO bloods in 2 days then ringing Friday for the results
Praying I don’t start wiping brown Friday or Saturday 😭 it makes me scared to go to the toilet
I need to just not test till Sunday really, that would be 11dpo and the furthest that I’ve got

Report
Kaybobx · 10/08/2020 07:08

@Boc86 Im 7dpo today so probably start testing tomorrow as I have a load of cheapies. I know it will be negative but it helps feed my addiction haha!!

Praying everything will be ok for you this month, I understand it maybe scary but try not to stress.

candycrush2298 · 10/08/2020 07:14

@Boc86 I hope that you dont start spotting. That sounds great but if you dont test then you will not know if you have a chemical, which would be your third time would it not be better to know so that you can share with your doctor that this has happened 3 times in a row and they can can do something or is that why they are doing the bloods on 7dpo?
If that's the reason then ignore me and wait till 11dpo as I can definitely understand your reasoning to not wanting to and feel like thats is great approach.

@Kaybobx yay for testing day tomorrow lol. What are your temps looking like?

@candycrush2298 its been too long since i played with sticks haha.

My chart is quite erratic, this heat doesn't help as I have the fan on me allnight and i wake up for a drink as it makes me so thirsty too. Its probably not accurate at all.

How many days left have you got with AF?

@Kaybobx as long as it stays above the coverline its all good. You got a coverline which is great news at least even though its erratic you still have one which does confirm you ovulated.

I think just today and tomorrow hopefully hahaha it does seem light today. Will start bd'ng Wednesday and hope we can follow SMEP this cycle.

@candycrush2298 i do find this chart easier to understand over the premom and glow app. I'm using them all anyway haha! Its literally nerve racking waiting for my temperature to beep incase its dropped. Just another bit of added pressure on us.
Im getting all the symptoms i had last cycle now, sore nipples, lower back ache and a little crampy! Ugh go away AF.

Its amazing you have such short cycles and you can get straight back to it.
Have you tried SMEP before?

I was just coming on to ask about temps. Mines dropped back down again! Can anyone make sense of this? I'm only 4 days PO

@Kaybobx I know what you mean because in fertility friend the lines are very close together so it makes for very easy reading. The other apps look super cute thats why I also keep using it but this one is much more practical actually visible how your temps are shifting.

Lol noooo don't put any pressure on yourself also you are only 7dpo so yours shouldn't drop for a while still. BUT hopefully it won't at all!!! I am soooo hopeful this cycle for you.

Awwww so do you think this are just the new "normal" af symptoms now? Many women have said it just feels like AF is starting so I honestly don't think symptoms are anything to go by - in my case anyway lol!!!

Yeah it is a benefit but I have wondered if a short follicular phase could not be a problem like are my eggs having enough time to mature and be of good quality? Google was not helpful on this front as everything is put onto the luteal phase. I just wish hubby could go for his dam test so I can start asking these questions at the fertility clinic - GP's won't know as they are generalists you know.
No I haven't tried SMEP before I tried too but after the 3day bd I just could not skip one day and do another 🤣🤣🤣 so going to try it for real this time. How about you? Have you tried it?

@snapple21 i don't think drops matter until your closer to AF. Mines been up and down constantly.

@candycrush2298 yeah i have kinda gave up on the symptom spotting then jumping on Dr Google, just hard to not instantly feel negative at this point.
No ive not tried SMEP before, maybe i should give it a go time too. I'll literally try anything haha!
I don't think your short cycle is an issue, if it was it would be on Dr Google for sure.

candycrush2298 · 10/08/2020 08:41

@snapple21 its the corpus luteum its estrogens one last surge before progesterone really kicks in I Googled it because I also had a drop right in the beginning. Should go back tomorrow.

@Kaybobx I know so have I becuase every time I do Google there is always someone that it was a pg symptom for them or it was a pms symptom everything can go either way. I note everything down so I can find trends of what's normal for me but I am not Googling anymore. This cycle I am only going to test closer to AF as well. Not buying more tests either. Just using what I have. Going to only test about 10/11dpo this cycle. Since the cycle before my last one was a 14day luteal phase and this one back to a 12 day I am going to count that as an outlier so 12dpo is my norm. That will make testing only 2/3 days before AF is due and if there is anything it should pick up by then. My sanity needs to do this.

Hahahahahaha I know what you mean also thinking about this rasberry tea need to buy more pregnacare and I am going to switch too conceive+ as well this cycle so may as well add some rasberry tea to the list 🤣

@candycrush2298 thanks hun that has cheered me up a bit. I think my progesterone is probably sky high as I am super emotional all the time.

My cold seems to be slowly disappearing my throat still hurts. Also I woke up yesterday with my left eye throbbing and it’s just not gone away, I might put an ice pack on it.

I’m 7/8 dpo and OPK is still negative 😞 AF due on Monday next week. If I have calculated that correctly.

@Kaybobx this one is going to make you laugh since last night my nipples are erect no idea why but hubby thinks I want to BD and keeps going “well if you’re not in that zone why are they erect they are never erect”

Well now thanks to this, I have to wear my bra around the house otherwise my husband gets the wrong idea. How rubbish is that.

@Elakiya glad you are feeling even a little better.

Thats great news that your opks are still low means you definitely ovulated and you not getting another surge. Really pleased to hear it. How long is your luteal phase normally?

Glad the cold is easing off and how bizarre with your eye hope it feels better soon. I hate eye, ear and nose pain.

Lol omg erect nipples really hoping that is a symptom for you since you have never experienced it before. Whahahahaha hubby thinking you wanna go go go 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@candycrush2298 every cycle i google and i should of been pregnant several times if i listened to it haha!
Although i do like when you put things in google all the old forums come up. I enjoy reading those with other peoples experiences.

Sounds good your plan for next cycle. It is starting to drive us all crazy. Ive only got 5 cheapies left so going to use those 8dpo to 12. I'm not buying anymore either.

Thats really strange the Raspberry leaf tea. How does that help? I was told to drink that in very late pregnancy as it brings on labour and helps strengthen the uterus. Surely thats not good in early pregnancy then?

@Elakiya haha!!! OMG this is exactly the same for me! Hubby keeps saying 'Are you cold or excited to see me'.
Then he keeps staring at my chest and if i tell him off he's like 'well they are just pointing at me i can't not look' haha!! 🤣🤣 i hate wearing a bra, they feel proper sore so they need airing.

candycrush2298 · 10/08/2020 09:03

@Kaybobx yeah thats where I get all my knowledge from old forums lol someone has already asked the question years before me and the answers are usually always near 50/50 some women it was a pg symptom and others it was AF so it actually doesn't help me reading them lol!!

That also sounds like a good plan. 5 tests 5 days lets hope they get a pink second line. Fingers crossed for you xx

Its good in both the second trimester and you are supposed to take it from the first day of AF until your peak day (stop just before ovulation) as it strengthens your uterine lining to help with implantation but must not be taken after ovulation as that can impede implantation from what I read lol. So I am actually already late and it probably won't do anything this cycle as I should have been taking it days ago but thought wth give it a bash anyway haha.

@Kaybobx Yh I’ve resorted to sports bras as they are more comfy.

@candycrush2298 I was hoping it would start showing a higher second line on the OPK so that there is a chance I am pregnant.

I really need to study for my exams 7 weeks to go and I haven’t even opened my notes.

@Elakiya as I mentioned before I am on the premom Facebook group and many people and I mean many people only get an increase in their LH (very close to positive) way afted their pg tests have already given a positive.

A sort of a high test is normal fluctuations and has nothing to do with pregnancy it won't start to rise and keep rising if you pregnant.

I know you only testing LH but even if its low now and you get a very high (positive or very close to pos) then it may be a sign you pg so dont worry that its low now.

On the charts that I have seen with women who test lh through out their cycle they go up and down and sometimes it goes high just before AF and sometimes they pg so unfortunately that can go either way😒

@candycrush2298 haha yeah symptoms literally are 50/50 for everyone. Why is nothing ever simple?

Oh ok I'll have a look into the Raspberry leaf tea. It does actually taste really nice. I remember it being a cold December and i was drinking cup and cups to try and get her out... didn't work lol.

@Elakiya good idea with the sports bra 👌🏻 when's your AF due?

@Kaybobx I wish there was a normal thing that every single women got when they implanted like a green line on her tummy saying yep she's having a baby when that line appeared it means she's pregnant hahahah wish it was that simple. Women are just a ball of hormones and most times the symptoms women do get are just progesterone symptoms.
Very very annoying.....

Yeah I am not sure I am going to like the tea hahahahaha.
