Think I've got a BFP...what now?

Hi all! Exciting post for me as I think I got a BFP this morning. Currently 12dpo. AF due tomorrow but not had any pre-AF symptoms...hence taking the test today.
Going to take another one tomorrow morning to confirm but not sure what to do next. Thinking of contacting GP on Monday. What else do I need to do?

Think I've got a BFP...what now?

Do a wee celebration dance! Congratulations Flowers

@Merename
Thanks! Done a wee dance and been on the NHS website for more info! Trying not to get hopes up too much but when a test result looks like this, it's so hard not to!

Congrats and fingers crossed it’s stronger! Depending on where u live but I think the nhs now just expects u to self refer urself online to your chosen maternity unit and the gp doesn’t take much to do with it. You only need to ring the GP is u have issues like needing medication reviewed and needing high dose folic acid. If ur bmi is over 30 or a history or family history of spinal bifida then u need 5mg of folic acid that only a doctor can prescribe. Other than that it’s just the normal store bought folic acid.

Congrats again

@2020wish
I'm in Scotland...had a wee look online and you're right. It's an online self-referral form. Going to test again over the weekend using first morning urine and wait until Monday before self-referring.

I couldn't help myself and tested again about half an hour ago - another very faint positive (very similar to my first morning test)!

Congratulations 🎉 looks like a BFP to me. That's a good line for 12DPO on an IC.

I agree with PPs, I called my GP but they just gave me the details of my local maternity unit so I could self refer. I remember calling them and it being very anti climactic because I just left message on their voicemail 😄. There's no rush either, your first appointment isn't normally until you're at least 8 weeks pregnant.

Congratulations again. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months. I definitely recommend joining a birth club for people who are due around the same time as you. It's nice to share the ups (and downs) with people who are in a similar position.

@Curiosity101 - thank you!

It feels so surreal just now...probably because it's still so early days yet.

Aww, that's a shame it was so anti-climactic. Leaving a message isn't the way anyone wants to announce news like that, even leaving a message for the midwives.
