Positive pregnancy test one week after period

Hello,

I’m very confused, last week I was on my period finishing on the 30th of June. I should be ovulating today according to my flo app (7th aug) my cycle has been regular for the past year.

I did my first ovulation test on the Monday (3 days after last day of period) and it came back positive and has done all week.

Yesterday (7 days after last day of period) I did a pregnancy test and it came back positive, very faint line. I then did a first response one and that came back clearer, i then did a digital clear blue one and it said 1-2 weeks. So many tests I know!

I just don’t believe it though since I had my period last week and according to my app I shouldn’t even be ovulating until today! IF I was pregnant from last month and what I though was my period was actually implantation bleeding wouldn’t the first test be much clearer? And wouldn’t the digital test say 3+ weeks?

Furthermore I don’t feel pregnant in the slightest, I had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago so am paranoid now.

Sorry for the long winded post! I can’t talk to my Dr until next Thursday so the anticipation is eating me up.

My main thought/worry here is that there is a small chance that this could be an ectopic pregnancy. If you're not already familiar with the symptoms it might be worth having a quick look online just as a precaution. I don't think it would be unreasonable to have a quick chat with your doctor either.

Alternatively (and hopefully) you just ovulated and implanted late. If you normally have light periods, and if you experienced heavy implantation bleeding then it could potentially have looked like a period.

How long was your period that finished on the 30th? Have you had any pains?

Did you track ovulation last month?

Did you do any pregnancy tests last month?

Thanks for for replying @Curiosity101

I have had some pain in my left side this morning, nothing major but I have also considered ectopic pregnancy so will call up the surgery again today.

Last month my period lasted 4 days finishing on 30th july - so 2 days less than normal. On the first day I remember having excruciating cramps. I ovulated on the 10th of July which I’m pretty confident was accurate.

I did a tonne of pregnancy tests last month all of which came back negative. I probably did the last test on the day I got my period, so on the 30th July!

I’m just so confused, not knowing my own body at the moment.
