H! I was diagnosed with PCOS at 16. I never had extreme symptoms apart from a bit of weight gain and acne in my teens. I am 32 y/o at normal weight (63kg, 174cm height). Four years ago I quit birth control and have been tracking my periods ever since. I have cycles that are between 35-45 days and I rarely miss my period (only twice in the last 4 years). I also track very diligently my other symptoms such as discharge during my cycle to try and pin point my ovulation. Last month I had unprotected sex during my "supposed" fertile period, 2-3 days before when I was to be at my most fertile. I was already noticing clear, egg-white cervical fluid. I am now on 44 days of my cycle. I took a HPT 7 days ago and it was negative. I've heard of women with PCOS having false negatives right into the middle of their first trimester. I've had a few symptoms, such as nausea, fatigue, a bit of bloating, some mild cramps (nothing like my usual period pain, which tends to be intense) and general brain fogginess. But this could just mean AF is around the corner. I guess my question is would it be normal for someone with a not so severe PCOS to have a late response? How long should I wait until I take another HPT? I currently live in quite a remote rural area and I booking a blood test is quite a hassle, especially as I work in hospitality and my hours don't usually coincide with the doctor's office. Thank you!
