Am I crazy? Pregnancy test

I should start by saying I have the coil in, and breastfeeding for the last 18 months, but I had a weird feeling to take a test.

I took it this lunch time and this is the result.

To be honest I'm not fussed either way and we re not trying obviously but the more I look at it and move it in the light the more I think I see a faint line......

Just curious on other people's opinions

I definitely see a line!

somanystars · 05/08/2020 13:18

I do see a line, I'd try another test to be sure!

Phillymouse · 05/08/2020 13:51

If it is positive (going to get one that actually says it for my very eyes lol) it's a very determined little baby and I have no idea how many weeks.

Anyone else heard of breastfeeding plus coil but still manages to get pregnant?

So ran out to buy this and it says negative. The first one was a Morrison's own brand.

Should I retest in the morning or ask gp for a blood test?

I can see a line! Did it come up straight away?

Phillymouse · 05/08/2020 15:02

Yeah the first test was straight away within 2 mins

Proper confused 😐

The digital tests require higher levels of hcg. Wait a few days and do a first morning wee on digitals

Phillymouse · 05/08/2020 15:13

Ok will do, I read the leaflet on the digital one and it said it was fine to do anytime of the day if you're testing after your expected period, but as I haven't had one in 28 months I have no clue

I see a line. The digitals are way less sensitive and if ur unsure of when u ovulated (going by that first test u are still extremely early) so I would of never have expect a digital to be positive and esp not positive if fmu wasn’t used.

Keep retesting each day with fmu and see if the line progresses. Good luck x

Phillymouse · 05/08/2020 15:36

@2020wish what's fmu? I never understood all these pregnancy test terms

My first bfp looked like this. Try a frer test in a couple of days

Phillymouse · 05/08/2020 15:40

Can someone explain to me all these acronyms lol

OP posts:
2020wish · 05/08/2020 15:50

Fmu- first morning urine
BFP- big fat positive
Bfn- big fat negative
Frer- first response early response lol

Phillymouse · 05/08/2020 17:00

Thank you ☺️

Did you do another test OP?

Phillymouse · 06/08/2020 13:25

Yes I did, I did the same test as the first one with morning pee and that was a clear negative as well. The first one I did still shows the line and I've had two negatives now.

I will retest next week and then speak to GP

Your first test looks negative to me too. I don't think you are.

Phillymouse · 07/08/2020 19:39

That first one definitely had a faint line, the second test from the same packet though the next day was clear as can be. Strange but I'm going to retest next week.
