Thrush and ovulation!

God dam it, waiting for fertile window what seems like an age this cycle and I woke up with thrush yesterday ! Got the external cream only as didn't wanna do the pessary but it's sore and itchy! Trying to google if I should still TTC this month as really don't wanna leave out a month ! Shall I still do it?
We've been having sex as normal and don't wanna pass it on to my partner which I suppose I will but really gutted as opk was positive this morning and I'm cd12 on a 28 day cycle

Hey I've had this too and went to the doctor to get thrush internal and external cream which I already bought but it didn't clear up. I then got diagnosed the bacterial vaginitis so was given a anti biotic cream and tablets to take which was a pain. Me and partner used lube which helped ease pain obviously I don't recommend this butuse the pessary and try a conception friendly lube.

Glad I'm not the only one. What a time to get it! Like any other time in the month lol!
I was hoping to carry on bd for the next few days and then use the pessary but I probably sound crazy! Good idea with the lube lol x

You can buy one of those testing kits from most pharmacies that tells you whether you have Thrush or BV, and I highly recommend this (as getting the treatment wrong is quite painful).

Also, I find the external creams for Thrush to be fairly ineffective, only the presserie has helped clear things up for me. However I'm not sure of the impact this could have on TTC. Perhaps a chat with your pharmacist would be a good next step.

@Kay00 that's a good point, find the creams just an additional help but yes the pessary nearly always works for me

I'm half way through the fertile window so will use the pessary soon and take a trip to the pharmacy

Always forget how horrible thrush feels ! X
