I’m having my implant removed next Tuesday and we are going to start TTC 😬 I’m 38, husband is 39 children have never been a plan but never not been a plan either, it’s just never been the right time. Anyway we decided after our Bali holiday in September we would try but that’s now been cancelled so no point in waiting. What advice do you all have? I’m eating healthier, drinking less, exercising more and taking folic acid

Definitely start tracking ovulation somehow! Were you planning on using OPKs or BBT perhaps? It's also quite useful to check for egg white cervical mucus as it's a strong indicator of impending ovulation.

Remember that if it hasn't worked by 6 months you can get the ball rolling to have investigations done by the NHS. No point delaying that kind of stuff at 38 so make use of it :)

Track for ovulation i would say but dont get hung up on it, our first month TTC we did the baby dance every day on the lead up to ovulation, but was not successful. Our second month trying to conceive i noticed EWCM earlier than normal and suspected early ovulation, we did the baby dance once that cycle and im here 6 weeks pregnant. The month we conceived it was nothing like i thought it would be, i didnt actually think we were successful because there wasnt a great deal of symptoms like it thought there would be. So for me, its your story and everyone os different, just enjoy the process and dont stress too much. I was on the injection for 10 years and stopped that 5 years ago, but it took 9-12 months before my cycle became any type of normal so stick with it and it will happen xx

If you don't feel like tracking then I'd recommend aiming to DTD every other day throughout the month. By pure chance if you can do it every other day you'll time it with either the day before or day of ovulation.

Good luck 😊

@Juno231 sorry I’m not great on the Abbreviations but I’ve ordered ovulation test strips but until I have an AF we’re just going to wing it as I’ve not had one for 10 years 😬

@NatJayne87 Congratulations 🎉

@DNpink82 My DH felt similar. Then I conceived in the second month and he felt cheated 😆🤣
