Hello
I came off cerezette the mini pill on 12th July. Today I have finally got my period. I've always had bleeds with the pill so when I came off it I thought I'd get one straight away but it's taken 3/4 weeks to get one.
When I had my first i had had the Depo previously so ttc after the pill is new to me. Now I've had a period, can I conceive? Sorry might sound like a silly question. I have read after the mini pill your body gets back to normal quite quickly.
Thanks 😊

Hi @Mrshand123 Smile I don’t have advice as such as I’m new to ttc but I also recently came off cerazette (mid June), I had a period mid July and we then started trying. Good luck to you!

You need to test if you are ovulating. Having a period doesn't mean you are ovulating. It usually happens on day 14 but can vary considerably. I suggest you do a bit of research about this and get some OPK testing strips to see when you ovulate.

I don't think you'd ovulate in this cycle given that the pill suppresses ovulation. The period you had after stopping the pill is just a break up period rather than a natural period. If your body goes back to "normal" straight away, you should be ovulating in your next cycle and could get pregnant.

This is what I've been taught! Anyway good luck and baby dust to you!

Some women can straight after coming off the pill, others can take quite a few months to get back to normal, ovulatory cycles. Only time will tell how your body will react.

I'd suggest temping for ovulation as OPKs might not give you the full picture (eg give peak readings without you actually having ovulated).
