@somanystars @EmmaAM
Yeah being on furlough makes it so much harder! I read some threads this morning that made me want to test today 😂 obviously no point but the wait is excruciating! A friend of mine got a faint positive on a cheap strip preg test when she was 7DPO so it’s going to take all my willpower not to test sooner than 10DPO lol

somanystars · 13/08/2020 11:30

@EmmaAM @Kg87 Yeah I'm unemployed at the moment so home all the time and definitely focusing on it more because of that! In fact as I type this I'm staring at my boobs in the mirror trying to work out if they're bigger or not 🤣 I'm not particularly blessed in that area so hoping that'll be a noticeable symptom for me?? It really is maddening haha.

Kg87 · 13/08/2020 11:53

@somanystars I’m not blessed in that region either so I am looking forward to the increase in size whenever that comes 😂

EmmaAM · 13/08/2020 12:16

I'm completely the opposite and don't think I will be able to stand up straight if mine get much bigger 🙈🙈

Pinkiii · 13/08/2020 12:47

@somanystars can i ask a personal question- please don’t answer if you don’t wish to, but its a concern I have so would like other opinions.

Are you worried about being unemployed? And do you plan on finding work during pregnancy?

I’ve just been made redundant and it was a thought that held me back from trying earlier as I knew it was coming but we decided we can manage on my husbands money but I will miss having my own income and certain luxuries

Also really worried about my boobs, they were huge already, firsg baby made them bigger. Can’t imagine what 2nd would do Confused

somanystars · 13/08/2020 13:21

@Pinkiii This is probably going to sound mad but I'm actually a student (age 25).... I know mid-university isn't really an ideal time to be TTC but I just feel so ready and like I can worry about everything else later 😅

I'm sorry you were made redundant, that must have been tough. We're in the fortunate position of being able to get by on my husband's income, and also I plan to stay at uni as long as possible (and then defer a year once baby is born) so will be receiving my student loan. I'm also in Scotland as I think I mentioned, so I don't have to worry about actually funding my studies. We're just sort of of the opinion that there'll never be a perfect time, sort of thing, like you could wait forever for the ideal set of circumstances. But I also recognise that we're privileged in that DH's job hasn't been affected by the pandemic and that we're in a financial position to think that way.

Definitely jealous of you generous-bosomed ladies! But you always kinda want what you don't have I suppose 🤣

Pinkiii · 13/08/2020 15:03

@somanystars not at all. Like we’ve said, there is never a perfect time. Best of luck on your studies

My husband wanted to try begining of the year and I kept putting putting it off, wanted to save more money and lose baby weight ( which is so silly now) if we had started in jan, we could have potentially been there now and i would be going on Maternity instead of redundancy.

Everything happens for a reason though.

EmmaAM · 14/08/2020 21:01

So today I've caved and bought some CB early response tests 🙈 I've been bloated and crampy and incredibly weepy the past couple of days and I think I just need to try and put my mind to rest! Hope everyone is doing ok 😊

RoxyMcRoxFace · 14/08/2020 21:36

Hi ladies :-) this sounds like just the group for me! I'm in my first ever cycle ttc no.1 eek! I'm so new to this it's a bit overwhelming. I stopped taking the pill 27th July having been on contraception for 11 years without a break. I've been using OPKs with the femometer app and ovulated yesterday so I guess I've officially started my first ever 2ww! I wasnt expecting to ovulate for sometime so surprised it happened so quickly. Not idea when af is due but assume weeks ish

BabyH88 · 14/08/2020 22:03

@RoxyMcRoxFace welcome to the group everyone is lovely here, good luck on your TTC journey 💕

HollyWell · 14/08/2020 22:04

Hello everyone! Could I join please? This is our second month TTC and we haven’t told a soul so I find these groups so helpful and comforting, I love reading about everyone’s stories!
I promised myself that I wouldn’t obsess over TTC and stress myself out so we are not using OPKs etc - but I suspect I will end up on that wagon if we haven’t been successful after a couple of months!
Good luck everyone, keeping everything crossed for you all x

beckyBP · 14/08/2020 23:37

Hey @RoxyMcRoxFace you're spot on.. it's totally overwhelming! Welcome to the TWW 😅 fingers crossed you get your BFP!! Xx

beckyBP · 14/08/2020 23:38

Hey @HollyWell welcome!

I'm also 2nd cycle. I actually used OPKs and vitamins for the first time this month and turns out I had my ovulation completely wrong! It's completely each time their own though as I think when using opks sex can become a chore.

Xx

Kg87 · 14/08/2020 23:55

@RoxyMcRoxFace @HollyWell welcome!!

@EmmaAM haha I’ve been trying not to think about mine in the cupboard, really going to try and not use it until next Thursday. I’ve been having twinges in my lower stomach and spikey shooting pains in my left boob 🤷🏽‍♀️

Pinkiii · 15/08/2020 09:12

Hello to the newcomers Smile

I’m on my 2WW now. Good luck to everyone else.

Hoping for lots of positives soon Grin

HollowayL30 · 15/08/2020 10:13

@Pinkiii Hi!! I'm in the same boat TWW now! Hoping this month we managed to do it and it sticks this time. X

CurlyNo2 · 15/08/2020 10:16

Hi, I'm new to the group too!
I'm 36 and have a son who is 4. This is our second cycle trying for baby number 2. My Clearblue Advanced Digital test came back low for 4 days (I didn't test on CD 8-9), then I had a flashing smiley yesterday and static today. I think not testing early has messed up the results as I had EwCM on my low days. Do you think this could happen? My husband just thinks it will happen and doesn't know how much of a military operation it is with all the tests. Even though I have no reason to worry about from age against me, I really worry we won't be able to have another baby. Does anyone else have these irrational fears?

Roelav1 · 15/08/2020 10:28

Hey everyone, I am now 5/6 DPO and last night I woke up with mild cramps (Felt like period cramps) bit unusual, only lasted for maybe an hour and then it stopped. wondered if anyone else has experienced this, could this be implantation cramps?

stepmumSW5 · 15/08/2020 10:44

Hello

Can i join?

I'm cd8 and have just started the daily opks.

Pinkiii · 15/08/2020 13:50

@HollowayL30 fingers crossed for you.

@Roelav1 it could be. With my first I had cramp type pains 7 days after ovulation and I was disappointed thinking it was my period.

RMarieClaire · 15/08/2020 14:16

@Roelav1 yes it could be, but there could be other explanations. FX though - so hard to know with symptoms. You'll only know when when you get that BFp

RMarieClaire · 15/08/2020 14:19

Can I join? Just went through the worlds hottest fertile window. Anyone else? We're in the south east and it was horrific.

Managed to dtd lots despite the heatwave, last time was yesterday morning. Frustratingly had ovulation pains today, and can't dtd because OH feels he doesn't have it in him 😂 so worried that after all that we'll miss our window!

Oh well, we'll know when we know.

Kg87 · 15/08/2020 21:08

@RMarieClaire hiya! Yep I’m in the south east too and it was horrendous, nearly didn’t DTD on our last fertile day because of the heat! Fingers crossed the effort pays off lol

Monday55 · 15/08/2020 21:51

@stepmumSW5 welcome! I'm currently CD6 so not far behind you.

My opks arrived 2days ago and I've ordered preseed off amazon arriving Sunday 16th.

stepmumSW5 · 15/08/2020 23:48

@Monday55 yayy thank you. When will you start testing?
