One pregnancy test in house

Hey all,

I’m due period on 8th August which is this Saturday, it’s currently Monday the 3rd August.

I have just one pregnancy test in the house and don’t intend to buy anymore. I will use this test and then wait patiently for my period if it’s negative.

Question is... which day should I test to get the most accurate result?

Also, for those that will tell me to “just wait for your period” - I’m going to use this test regardless, just want to know which day would give me the most accurate result.

Statistically most people who will go on to get a positive result will be able to test for it by 12DPO. Do you know when you ovulated?

If you're unsure when you ovulated then I wouldn't recommend testing until at least Sunday 4th (1 day after the missed period).

However if your period ends up late and you get a negative test then it's still possible you could be pregnant if you ovulated late this month.

As they say - you're not out until your period arrives.

Positive opk on 24/25 July. No idea when I ovulated as don’t temp.

Haha I've had 24/25 for LH surge too.
Just tested with a FRER and got a vvvvf positive (I'm very cautious as they have been known for false positive's recently....)
I don't know the brand you've got but I would say with an eBay test wait until Thursday if you can. Is this your first pregnancy? Just asking because I know from previous pregnancies that my tests are usually stronger later in the day and not with FMU. That's maybe something to keep in mind too...

If we assume ovulation was the 26th then I wouldn't test until Friday morning which would be 12DPO. But if you can wait until Saturday/Sunday that would be even better.

Thanks everyone, my previous preg I tested positive 3 days before period due. Got a blazing positive that time so would have shown up earlier had I tested.

Congrats NoCallerID - how many dpo does that make you? Any symptoms?

Thanks. 9/10dpo. My temps are a bit off so I've gone conservative and used the lower readings which make me 9dpo.
Terribly dry mouth today and some cramping here and there...

When I got pregnant I had a blazing bright pink positive on a frer 3 days before my period was due. I had been experiencing symptoms of PMT × 1000 for about a week, I was miserable, bad tempered & would have argued with anyone, I didn't want anyone around me, just to be left alone.

Just done another one and it's a bit easier to see on camera. Since you're around the same DPO as me I don't think it would show up on a cheap test...
