"Contractions" after DTD ?!

Hello!

So DH and I are TTC baby number 2, second cycle trying. I was 11dpo yesterday, took a test and BFN.

We DTD last night and I did have an orgasm. Straight afterwards I had quite intense pains in waves... they felt exactly like early labour contractions or the contraction pains you get when your uterus is shrinking after baby has arrived (remember it well from my first pregnancy.)

I've NEVER experienced this before, so when I googled it I was shocked to see it is common in pregnancy.

Has anyone had this outside of pregnancy at all? OR is there a chance I could be and this is a sign? What do you reckon?

Yep I had this the day before I found out I was pregnant. Tons of luck!!!

Just to clarify... not for 3 hours, just a few minutes. But then it was my first pregnancy.

When pregnant with dd2 every time I DTD my uterus went hard and you could see it and I had mild cramping so definitely a possibility!

Thanks @glowingtwig I have been cramping on and off all week so it was hard to tell what was extra cramping on top if you know what I mean?! But it definitely lasted until I went to bed.

This was deffo a sign for me! After coming off the pill in June, I got my BFP last week with baby number 2 and I've been cramping on and off for 3 weeks with what I think is implantation/ growing pains however after sex the cramps do intensify. Good luck, hope you get your BFP🤞🏼 xx
