I'm CD11, waiting for something (anything) to happen this month 😂. Only taking my Inofolic Alpha this cycle and nothing else.

Hope I've tagged everyone xx

@2020wish awww look at your bump ❤️ I know you say it’s bloat but just show it off 🤗 least you are preg haha I have no excuse at the moment 🤪 I loved my bump when I had it. Let me find a pic from just before my mc xx

Pugprincess · 03/08/2020 19:20

@2020wish this is how mine was. Are you moisturising? X

2020wish · 03/08/2020 19:25

I wish it was a bump :( lol aww look at yours! How far along where u in that? Actually I’m not yet. I know it’s stupid but I’m too afraid to buy cream and all that jazz until after my scan so I know it’s progressing and viable. Cause my second loss happened right after I ordered pregnancy stuff online so just a little bit still on the fence atm

Jazper · 03/08/2020 20:07

@MrsK21 will be thinking of you Thursday and hope you get some answers. Although a bfp in two weeks time would be lovely for you 🥰

@VP91x thank you and thanks for the tips re. Hair loss. I lost hair after having my babies but losing it after a mc is just a massive kick in the bloody teeth isn't it 😢 we're looking in to same basic fertility tests. My OH wants to be analysed. Not because we think it's him, we just want peace of mind as he's older. I definitely think my hormones are out of whack and I'm wondering whether to ask for hormonal bloods done on me. Or whether to push for those through the docs on the basis of mc, hair loss, etc. What's your thoughts?

Jazper · 03/08/2020 20:15

@MichT4 thank you for checking up and asking how my day progressed. I felt better for speaking with my OH. He was really understanding and encouraging. He doesn't think there's an issue with either of us, and he's positive 'it will happen when it happens' but I'm a really anxious over thinker. So as I said, we're looking in to tests on him just for peace of mind. With me, I'm pretty sure my hormones haven't settled properly after the mc and I'm just in limbo wondering what to do. Emotionally, I'm ok, at the moment 🙈
And you definitely need to have breakfast before work lady! An army doesn't march on an empty stomach and your army has a baby to make!! Xx

MichT4 · 03/08/2020 20:23

@Jazper very good point! I need to be looking after myself as if I am pregnant I suppose, just in case!
I'm glad you are feeling a little better. It's always good to talk through things. Will your GP not run tests? I popped into mine today as I had a little 'bump' appear on the sole of my foot and wanted it checked out (🙋🏻‍♀️ another over thinker right here!). He wasn't worried but it was the same doc who authorised my tests. He just think I'm a loon! I asked if I could have the progesterone one now but he said they had to be done in order really and that I wouldn't know where I was to be certain of my cycle. I didn't preach OPKs and temps as I don't think doctors take much notice. But my point is, he is willing to do them all and I think if you can talk to the right person then you should be able to get the ball rolling. I know I was lucky to get him, but worth a try? Definitely if you are having issues with hair loss too, although they can also be difficult if they think your hormones aren't settled enough. It shouldn't be this hard!

I'd say definitely have a conversation, see what they say? You never know - they might whisk you off for tests. I'm sure it's nothing wrong, given you are struggling with the hair loss I think it's just your body needing more time to balance out. And once it does, you'll be good to go.

Sorry if that's rambly and unhelpful. I just want you to feel better and positive that soon you'll have your sticky bean.

@SmileyT glad it was a little cooler. I had derailed from MAFS over the weekend so I'm watching now. How are you finding it?

@VP91x glad you had a good day today! Are you all ready for your first day? Is it in the office?

xx

Pugprincess · 03/08/2020 20:44

@2020wish aww I don’t blame you for being almost superstitious with it, I would be the same. Feel like cursed myself by telling so many people and yesterday I saw DH grandma and she said she had knitted the baby a cardigan but she will save it for me 😭 in that last photo I was about 7 weeks xx

Pugprincess · 03/08/2020 20:44

@2020wish maybe try a body butter if you have one at home? That should help xx

2020wish · 03/08/2020 21:00

@Pugprincess thank you, yea my logical brain knows I can scud myself by buying things but at the same time it’s a fear. Awk I’m sure that was a bittersweet feeling but at least she’s positive that it will happen for u and thy cardigan will be on ur rainbow baby one day! Oh I don’t feel so bad then that u had a wee bump forming also around this stage. I think after I have the scan and if everything is ok I’ll own it lol

Jazper · 03/08/2020 21:07

@MichT4
You remind me of me, I suffer awful health anxiety although it's lessened in recent months. You better to get things looked at though if you are concerned.
No, it wasn't rambly or unhelpful, much the opposite. The diplomatic part of my brain is saying that it's definitely just a case of giving my body more time, but the anxiety stricken part is needing more reassurance.
So, if I ask for tests, be it private or through my GP, I need to know what I'm talking about. I've heard of the progesterone one, and that tells you if you've ovulated I believe? What's the one before that, that you had??

SmileyT · 03/08/2020 21:26

@Lollol86 only just ordered but I'm happy I have ☺️

@VP91x ahh glad that Bella had fun, such a nice day before you return to work tomorrow, you'll sleep well tonight x

@Pugprincess fingers crossed it's not AF 🤞

@2020wish I know it probably sounds daft, but are you using Rennie? they are bloody fantastic and really help with the bloat and apparently eating high fibre food before bed can really help move things along. I also found moving my body a bit today with a 15min yoga sesh has helped x

@MichT4 I paused it to wait for DP to get home from work so he could get into it aswell but I'm enjoying it, although feel like I need to concentrate a bit as it's first episode x

MichT4 · 03/08/2020 21:27

@Jazper I go through phases. Sometimes I don't think about things so much but other times I convince myself there's something major wrong and if I don't go and get reassurance, I can't stop worrying. This was one of those, so I feel better now.

So they are hormone blood tests. One CD1-7 ish to check FSH and LH levels. Then one at cd21, or later if long cycles like me, to check progesterone and therefore if you've ovulated. I think if you say you want hormone blood tests they should know what you mean 🤞🏼 xx

MichT4 · 03/08/2020 21:29

@Jazper I think if it's private it might be fertility tests but I'd ask for hormones and go from there.

@SmileyT very impressed. My OH doesn't watch but then asks me loads of questions 🙄. Enjoy! And what have you ordered? 😋 xx

2020wish · 03/08/2020 21:30

@SmileyT I’ve been eating bran flakes for breakfast and fruit smoothies as a meal, thing is I’m pretty regular .. can I take gaviscon liquid instead of rennies? I plan to ask the midwife on Thursday about exercise and then picking something up once I know the scan is all good

Pugprincess · 03/08/2020 23:19

@SmileyT thanks, been getting mild cramps today, if they get really strong then I will know I’m starting but while they are this mild then it doesn’t mean too much. The month I got preg though I don’t recall much crampy feelings before BFP, but had some after as that’s normal in preg isn’t it. The month I got preg I also don’t recall any discoloured discharge it all stayed white. But then they say every pregnancy is different anyway. Been getting the muscle twitches, pinchy feelings and stabbing. Feel like it’s really teasing me. If AF comes I really need to be strong and not symptom spot next month I think like some of the other ladies on here. X

MichT4 · 04/08/2020 06:23

Good luck with your first day @VP91x

Hope everyone is ok this morning? xx

VP91x · 04/08/2020 06:31

Morning @MichT4 thank you lovely 🥰. I'm not in until 9.30am, that feels so late in the day!? No idea why 😂😂 how are you today? Xx

@Jazper I know its so upsetting, I think this was almost worse than PP hairloss maybe it felt more concentrated as opposed to a slow process. I would say for fertility testing, it seems cheaper to go for the packages rather than doing tests at different times. The FC near me was about £625 for all the scans you'd get, blood tests you need and a sperm analysis - definitely look around. I first called my doctor because of the hair loss and my periods were being irregular she first of all ordered thyroid and full blood count and then obviously things went on from there, but I had to be quite pushy. xx

@2020wish I remember taking gaviscon when I was pregnant! Xx

@SmileyT thank you hun, hope you enjoyed your dinner. How has work been for you? X

Morning ladies! My BBT has gone down again to pre ovulation levels 😢 does that mean what I think it does?

VP91x · 04/08/2020 07:07

@Firevie have you got a pic of your chart xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 04/08/2020 07:28

@VP91x I'm fine thanks, just got to the office and I'm tired and hungry (I've done it again @Jazper 😫 - no breakfast with me!). Only 7 working days until my holiday and I need it! Did you do an OPK last night? I can't remember if you said.
Is 9.30 just today or every day? When do you finish?

@Firevie it could just be a fluctuation, don't worry. Like @VP91x said, attach your chart so we can see, but lots have had dips below cover xx

Lollol86 · 04/08/2020 07:31

@VP91x good luck for today, will you be working full or part time? Xx

Firevie · 04/08/2020 07:33

@MichT4 @VP91x please see pics of my chart since I’ve been taking BBT

Sorry I’ve just seen you can see my mums what’s app too lol

MichT4 · 04/08/2020 07:42

@Firevie 😂 hi to your mum!
@VP91x knows more about this but was saying the other day about an oestrogen surge which can cause a dip post ovulation. It's only one day so try not to worry, I'm sure they'll rise tomorrow. They will fluctuate in the upper range so I'm sure it's ok, although I'm exactly the same and I worry about dips and troughs. And it's still above cover anyway, you can dip below cover and still be fine - like @SmileyT ☺️ xx

Firevie · 04/08/2020 07:51

@MichT4 thank you 😊 very educational all of this! I wish they taught us at school haha! I’ve just done my Bettina Rae yoga for this morning, having my usual fresh lemon ginger with boiled water and writing into my gratitude journal to set up the day in the right tone! Hopefully my work stuff will also get sorted today. Hope you all have a great day xx
