I've had 3 periods since January and my cycle while it's always been difficult has never been quite this erratic. I decided enough was enough and I had a chat with my doctor and she confirmed my suspicions that I exhibit all the signs of PCOS. Every woman in my family has it so not surprised. I had braced myself for the answer I had gotten before, see what it's like after a few months. Luckily this one actually took my concerns seriously and has prescribed Metformin to get my cycle back in line. She explained what it does and honestly I'm just over the moon that something proactive is being done to help with this.
I can't start taking it until after my blood test on Friday so in the meantime would just like to know what to expect from being on this and what women taking it whilst ttc experienced
