Hi everyone,
Looking for anyone on a similar journey, or anyone who has been through this too! Have you had 3 miscarriages and gone on to be successful? The statistics say to have 3 mcs is quite rare but from conversations I've had, it's more common than the reports suggest.

As the title says, I am able to conceive but it seems to be progressing the pregnancy that is the issue. All tests I've had look normal.

Has anyone had similar experiences? I feel sharing is so helpful. Thanks, everyone.

I had three early miscarriages in a row before having my daughter.

I was referred to a consultant but was pregnant with her by the time I had my appointment. My doctor did prescribe cyclogest after the three miscarriages, that’s the only thing I did differently and I’m convinced that’s what made the fourth pregnancy successful.

I had five early miscarriages before my current pregnancy (now at 17 weeks). I was referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and had tests but not my appointment before COVID hit, but then got pregnant again. I rang the clinic once I got my positive and they said all my tests had looked normal.

Fingers crossed it seems to be going well so far. I did have a tiny bit of spotting early on so I was prescribed progesterone at 7 weeks. I'm not sure if that made any difference as I'd already got past where I normally did. The doctor mentioned some new research on hyperfertility which sounded like it fit quite well - it's not necessarily that I lose more pregnancies than other people, but non viable embryos implant that wouldn't for other women, so you often are briefly pregnant before not being again. I seemed to get pregnant about every other month so that sounded quite interesting.

Sorry you're going through this, it's pretty soul destroying - but it does seem to have worked out ok for us in the end - hope it does for you too soon. x

@fastandcurious thank you for your reply, I have such hope that I will have a similar journey and will make it on the fourth try - that would be amazing. I've just been referred so I guess the waiting starts now. Sorry for your previous losses. Thank you.

@effy6 your comment made me cry! Im so pleased for you and hope I can have a similar path.

The hyperfertility thing is interesting. We have conceived the first time 3 times in a row so I can certainly manage that part.
I will try the referral path i'm on, hopefully have some tests and take it from there. ♥

@Bluesky2021 funnily enough hyperfertility was mentioned to me too, I think it’s definitely a thing.

@FastAndCurious isn't it interesting? I thought I was so clever falling pregnant so easily! I feel now that seeing the line means not so much to me and I know that part is fine and not a problem. I have made a note of your medication but my progesterone levels were deemed to be ok so not sure of next steps. Hopefully if I can see a specialist I will be able to move forward

Hi it's not quite the same journey but I conceived straight off the pill miscarried at seven weeks fell immediately pregnant no period in between with my son who is now 2. Decided to try again and I had a really funny early period the first month, pregnant the next which ended in a missed miscarriage found at 12 weeks and then a chemical pregnancy straight after the missed miscarriage picked up 4 weeks later when I was asked to call EPAU. I had a negative 2 weeks after the missed miscarriage so it was a new pregnancy however I started my period 2 days later. I had a telephone appointment with Dr Quenby on Friday and she believes I am 'superfertile' I am also 41!!! I am not ready to let go of a possible second child just yet so going for blood tests tomorrow. There's no joy in a positive pregnancy test anymore. I believed the first was just a one off and that I took after my mum getting pregnant so easily. She conceived me, my brother and my sister first time. It has been a rollercoaster we have stopped trying may not even try again as we have to be prepared to get on the rollercoaster of emotions as soon as we stop contraception. I wouldn't change my son for anything but wouldn't wish this journey on anyone
