Hey ladies
Anybody else with PCOS has a bfp and not been given supplement progesterone ? I'm worried but gp says it doesn't mean all ladies with it need the Suppositories ? Is this true . Anybody else with PCOS has a successful pregnancy without the progesterone supplement ?

Hiya, I have PCOS & questioned this with my doctor when I got pregnant too. He seemed to think if I had managed to conceive naturally then there was no reason to believe I needed anything to sustain the pregnancy.

I was doubtful but he was right I did have a successful pregnancy & a now 3 year old. I have a 1 year old too & took nothing with either pregnancy.

Infact, PCOS had no bearing on either pregnancy & having children seems to have sorted it right out - I no longer have symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, hope all goes well!

Sorry @fizzyblush I’ve only just seen your reply.

I had irregular periods & was significantly over weight for what I was eating. Saw a gynaecologist who confirmed with a scan. They sort of said ‘might be hard to get pregnant when the time comes. Bye.’ 🙄
I was devastated!

I could go months & months without a period. I think the longest was 1 year.

We had unprotected sex for 3 years before falling pregnant with DC1 (+ actively trying/timing for 1 year.) I thought it would never happen! But it did!

With DC2 I fell pregnant when DC1 was only 14 months & my periods had only returned 3 months prior due to breast feeding. Madness, I was actually rather fertile now apparently!

Now my periods are like clock work, every 28 days. I have heard it a lot from women with PCOS! It’s almost as if a pregnancy can reset everything for some people.

Hope all goes well, I’m sure it will!

Fell pregnant with PCOS and no medication was given. I never questioned it

Hi. Not sure what medicine you need. But I got bfp with pcos no medicines during pregnancy. I had to take chlomid to be able to get pregnant but nothing else

Progesterone support wouldn't normally be given unless you've had multiple miscarriages.

If you are worried, you can buy progesterone cream from the internet (it lengthened my luteal phase from 9 to 14 days so I could fall pregnant in the first place!)
