One Step Dud tests?

I have read on several threads that there was a batch of dud one step pregnancy tests going around. Does anyone have any details? I have a bunch of them I got from ebay.

I recently bought some and they just take a while to show postive result only got a very faint at 15/16 barely could see but a little lighter by 17 while they were much darker on frer and cb. There alright to use just to relax your mind in the TWW but not a accurate result for early testing at all. I bought mine from amazon so not sure if same batch but the reviews were similar as well. I've hear actually a lot of brand including FRER and clear blue selling fakes but they tend to be in different packaging on the inside not the actual ones. Best of luck with testing buts if you want an early result I'd grab some frer I got a faint at 13dpo but didn't tested with FREr until then while getting bfn on one steps and pro mantis cheapies

Thanks @Tiff94 ! Confirmed what I thought basically. I might have to pick up some frer tomorrow to put my mind at ease!

I had one step. Bought 20 when we started TTC. Every single one has been negative. Until yesterday's faint line. Then did FRER and that also had a faint line. Then did a wondfo IC today and a bit darker today. So they've been ok for me. Not even evap lines

I had two batches of One Step OPKS and even though it turns out I was actually ovulating, the one step were stark negative every single time, I was doing about 3 a day.
