How good are Poundland strips??

I've suffered a miscarriage back in April at 12 weeks, and a chemical pregnancy at 4.3 weeks beginning of June. I should have been due on today, but alas no appearance, I figured what the hell, I'll buy the cheap pack of 3 strips at Poundland, came up positive immediately, and the darkest I've had all year, even with the 12 week one, it was never this dark.

Are they reliable?? Can I take this as a definite??

I think with a line that dark I'd be tempted to splash out on a digital. Tentative congrats x

That’s definitely a positive, congratulations! I used a Poundland pack when I suspected I was pregnant with DD. Positive result, then I got a digital Clearblue one later. Maybe try one of those to double check how far along you are?

Tricky one - any other brand I'd say DEFINITE BFP but then those cheap test strips are notorious for being wrong BUT it's definitely dark in colour so I'd say you're pregnant 🤣

That brand is reviewed here:

Thank you everyone! So I take it, they might be okay! I'm staying tentative after the last 2 pregnancies, but fingers crossed!!

Can't afford a digital one until payday, so went and got a proper POAS one and damn guys... the most positive test I've ever seen!

Congratulations 🎉🎊💐 Test line is darker than your control line, you are very pregnant. 😆 Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

RosieJess91 · 01/08/2020 14:22

@Curiosity101 I know! That's mad, what does that even mean? Hope it's not twins, don't think the other half would hang around, he'd be flying to a different country 😂😂
Hoping maybe it just means I'm a few days ahead of where I thought I was...?

I'd take it to mean you hopefully have a nice strong healthy little bean on board and you potentially are out on your dates by a couple of days 🙂

But who knows... It could be twins 😉. Do twins run in your family?

RosieJess91 · 01/08/2020 14:59

No, none thankfully, but I have miscarried twice this year, and I've been told multiples are more likely after that.
But hopefully it just means this ones going to stick! :)

They are absolutely fine. When you have a positive, and you want reassurance, buy a more expensive one..don't waste money on expensive ones.

RosieJess91 · 01/08/2020 16:07

@Miga1 thanks! I know, I've taken a different test today, as seen above, which came out very, very positive! 😀

Congratulations :-)

RosieJess91 · 09/10/2020 09:09

Thought I'd come back and say, I'm not pregnant with twins, but I was a week further on than expected, so I thought I was 4 weeks when I took the first test, I was actually 5!!
Not 15 weeks with a wriggly little baby! 😁

RosieJess91 · 09/10/2020 09:30

That's meant to say now 15 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️
