What do you think?

DH and I agreed no more babies so he got a vasectomy over a year ago.

I think there's a line, and don't know how to feel. Anyone got any wise words?

Line eyes please

I can see a line

raspberryjamlove · 28/07/2020 15:09

I do see a line though I find these tests not super clear can you get your hands on an frer? X

SunInTheSkyYouKnowHowIFeel · 28/07/2020 15:13

Um, you don't really need other people to see this line do you? It looks pretty clearly a line to me.

What was your initial reaction to seeing it, dread or excitement? Have you shown your DH?

patchworkpals20 · 28/07/2020 15:18

@SunInTheSkyYouKnowHowIFeel

My first reaction was squeeeeee another baby.

My second reaction was I don't want another baby. I'm done with it. My youngest has just turned four.

Haven't shown husband yet. Want to wait a couple days and then test again to be sure.

Is it a Sainsburys test?

patchworkpals20 · 28/07/2020 16:11

@pinklady1207 yes it is

I see a line but these are notoriously crap.

I would test with a FRER just to double check.

Xx

Workingmama1 · 28/07/2020 16:54

There is a line there, mine looked very similar with my last pregnancy at first. However, some people do seem to warn about the evaps on these tests so I'd wait a few days or try another brand. I hipenyou get the answer you want

patchworkpals20 · 28/07/2020 17:28

@Workingmama1 thankyou

Definitely a line, can see it on invert colours.

What do you think of mine? I think it’s an evap. (Bottom not top)

Line eyes please
Baby2123 · 28/07/2020 17:45

Also has anyone ever had the test line darker than the control line on an OPK? It’s never happened to me before and I’m not sure what to make of it.

Line eyes please
Nottherealslimshady · 28/07/2020 17:59

@Baby2123 it's supposed to be darker at peak fertility. This means you're ovulating.

OP I definitely see a line

Stabal · 28/07/2020 18:02

@Baby2123 the test line is supposed to be darker. It indicates that you're ovulating.

SunInTheSkyYouKnowHowIFeel · 28/07/2020 18:03

Patchwork I can understand your mixed reaction, esp with your younger one being 4 now. Perhaps things will seem clearer one way or the other after a few days, no choice is ever 100% perfect but you just have to make the one that best suits you and your family don't you

I'm surprised that people are saying the supermarket ones are inaccurate, I thought they were pretty good? Personally I think internet cheepies are good ones.

Baby2123 · 28/07/2020 18:07

Sorry I should of made it clearer, my last AF was 4th July and I got a positive (smiley) OPK on the 14th. I know I shouldn’t of done one today but it was pure curiosity and now it’s threw me off, I don’t know what to think.

Baby2123 · 28/07/2020 18:08

3rd July not 4th sorry.

OnceBitten25 · 28/07/2020 18:18

@patchworkpals20 I see a line but these blue dye ones are awful. Have had my hopes dashed many a time by a faint blue line which doesn't develop into anything. Try a pink dye one like FRER. Hope you get the result you want 👍🏼

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 28/07/2020 19:08

Those blue ones always chuck out lines.

He's had a vasectomy, it's almost definitely negative.

RosieJess91 · 28/07/2020 21:07

Try another test with pink dye. I had a few false positives with those Sainsbury's tests, was so excited I used a digital which was negative, then I ended up in hospital and tests there came back negative too.
Sainsbury's blue dye tests are notorious for giving evap lines that look like positives. I just used cheap Poundland strips, pink dye, came up positive immediately. And super clearly!

daisychain1620 · 02/08/2020 15:54

Did you test again OP?
