My period came! I was on day 38 which is so late. And it’s turned up the day I’m off camping for the weekend. But at least it’s here. That was our first month trying after my missed miscarriage. We were t trying for the baby I miscarried, it a surprise. So I’m learning my way into this. My three children were all conceived first month which is crazily lucky now I think about it. But I was much younger then.

@selina37 I get very obvious ovulation pain every month. I know when I ovulate just by feeling.

@mouldygrapes are you going to test today? Good luck!

Sleeeeeepy · 11/09/2020 16:17

@ShouldEyeShouldntEye I'm sorry the witch got you, but at least now you can have some Friday wine and move onto the next cycle 😊

I've got the usual cramps, period due next Weds/Thurs but I reckon it'll be early given v early or no ovulation.

Thank goodness it's Friday, this weekend I plan to eat a lot of pizza. Has anyone got fun weekend plans?

@ShouldEyeShouldntEye ah so sorry, but enjoy your camping - I love camping! And relax 🙂

@Sleeeeeepy defo happy it's Friday! Been a slog of a week!

selina37 · 11/09/2020 17:39

For anyone who gets the ovulation pain, can you confirm if it's right before or during the egg popping out? Or even after?

ShouldEyeShouldntEye · 11/09/2020 17:58

@selina37 I feel the pain, do the deed and have got pregnant four times that way. So I assume it’s the egg popping out.

I’m an idiot, was trying so hard to hold out till tomorrow and do FRER with FMU.
Did an OPK this afternoon which was the darkest I’ve ever had. Stupidly didn’t hold onto the urine (3-4hr hold) then downed a load of water and did a test at work (not a FRER) and these ones are a bit tricksy for false +ves if you leave them too long. This took a while to come up but also the urine was so dilute. I don’t know whether to believe it, and will still do the FRER tomorrow!!!

Got partners numbers from his 2nd SA today, when he went to have his blood tests. Except I don't know what it means

😢 definitely period? Could it be ovulation?

mouldygrapes · 11/09/2020 19:41

Thanks both. I’ll see what tomorrow brings.

@claireb707 - do you have the other SA results to compare to? I guess it would be helpful to know if these are better, worse or the same as his previous.

@Sleeeeeepy how strange! Bodies are weird, aren’t they. I’m guessing this is not normal for you?

Sadly no
Sleeeeeepy · 11/09/2020 19:52

@claireb707 I think I ovulated about CD9, my peak was CD7ish but it seemed early so maybe didn't happen

@mouldygrapes my cycles have been really short (21/23 days) but this is ridiculous

@mouldygrapes 🤩 oh hey!

@ShouldEyeShouldntEye fab! As I thought! That's great to know, thank you 🙂

@claireb707 does it tell you a list of normal ranges too? 🤔

selina37 · 11/09/2020 19:55

@Sleeeeeepy was your last period normal? 🤔 Is it ovulation?

What the numbers should be are on the right. His numbers are on the left 😢

Density and motility are both low

mouldygrapes · 11/09/2020 20:12

@claireb707 sorry 😥 what was the reason for the repeat, remind me? Had they suggested he make some changes to see if it had any impact?
I wonder if it is possible for you to get the previous results just to be able to compare

Apparently they do a repeat to confirm low results. So I suspect the first lot are about the same

mouldygrapes · 11/09/2020 20:33

I’m really sorry @claireb707. What are the next steps do you think? I’m sure you have said but it’s hard to keep track of everyone’s stories.

The doctor I spoke to 2 weeks ago said that as soon as she gets the results of his bloods early - mid next week she will check everything then send off the referral to the sub fertility clinic. After that I'm.not sure what happens and no idea what the wait is either.

lucieloos · 11/09/2020 21:26

Sorry to hear about the results @claireb707 we have dealt with poor sperm too. We did ivf with icsi though and we now have 2 lovely children so it can happen even though I know it's not the path you probably want to take. We got into the mindset that once a baby was here it wouldn't matter at all how they got here and it really didn't 💛

Thanks for that ☺️ can I be cheeky and ask what age you were when you first had ivf? Only I'm 41 now so we may be limited in our options because of that as well as the sperm issue 😢
CurlyNo2 · 11/09/2020 22:26

Does anybody else feel really frustrated with their partner over the whole TTC.

It feels as though we are totally out of sync. He is raring to go on my non fertile days but not interested on my fertile days. To be fair, he doesn't know when they are and I don't tell him as I don't want to put pressure on him but I get so frustrated.

He hasn't a clue how the female body works and that their is only a very short window of opportunity. We were very lucky conceiving our son so I think he thinks its 'wham bam thank you mam' and you're pregnant!

Sorry, I'm just so deflated. I know I am ovulating as I have the tell tale signs i get (significant one being pain ovary pain) but he is too tired. Another cycle missed as we last DTD on Tues so there is no chance.

Sorry, I just needed to moan Sad

lucieloos · 11/09/2020 22:48

I was 36-37 but the chances of getting pregnant at 41 with ivf are quite a bit higher than getting pregnant naturally even with no issues so you have every chance. Have you had your amh tested?

DNpink82 · 11/09/2020 23:05

@CurlyNo2 I'm sick of hearing my husband saying he's got supersperm 🙄 I've not even had a period yet since implant removal yet he thinks he's amazing. He seems to think it'll be a wham bam thank you mam and it's starting to get on my nerves seeing as I've had nothing but pain and bloating for the last 3 weeks x
