@mouldygrapes they were all taken at roughly the same time. I’m just a bit rubbish at putting the numbers in at the time when I’m half asleep so I often add them later. Still no spotting or af signs tho so I guess I’ll see what happens over the next few days

Hayley19835 · 31/08/2020 20:59

@Semele5069 lovely news congratulations xx

mouldygrapes · 31/08/2020 21:05

@LT103 oh I see. Not sure then but lack of spotting seems like a good sign, fingers crossed.

@Semele5069 congrats! So pleased for you xx

selina37 · 31/08/2020 22:27

Wonderful news @Semele5069! So happy for you - completely understand why you're being cautious xx

Cycle Day 25/15DPO so AF definitely due today... I've saved FMU (TMI??) in case in doesn't show up as expected this afternoon ...

Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday!

mouldygrapes · 01/09/2020 11:20

@LT103 if it helps, I’ve also had temp drops post ovulation! No idea the significance, and only 5dpo so unlikely to be implantation. I think it’s just cold - I’ve been freezing all day!

@mouldygrapes yeah mine is identical. Maybe that’s all it is. Was back up today high again at 9dpo so I’ll just see what happens next few days. Maybe test end of the week if still no spotting

FridaKFangirl · 01/09/2020 17:13

Well I got as far as 5pm and actually going to get the Pg test ready, but now it looks like AF is actually on her way after all, just the faintest pink tinge..

You think she'd have the courtesy to turn up early in the day so I don;t get my hopes up.. :(

CC81 · 01/09/2020 18:31

Great news @Semele5069 - fingers crossed for you... x

CC81 · 01/09/2020 18:36

REALLY ANXIOUS today, as got private tests tomorrow. But won't get the results until 22 Sep! Aaaagh. I'll just be glad to get another milestone over with.

Period due circa this weekend. I've tried to stop watching for any kind of symptoms each month, as they're always so confusing! Plus I feel my body is too anxious this week for implantation to work Confused

I'm always a bit unsure of my temps anyway - I often wake (briefly) in the early hours, so they're probably unreliable.

Ugh I hate the monthly cycle of uncertainty!!!

Highlandmama · 01/09/2020 21:08

@Semele5069 congrats and totally understandable that you are nervous. Really hope all goes well for you Smile

Sleeeeeepy · 01/09/2020 21:59

@CC81 That's a long time to wait! In one way time seems to be flying, in another way I just hate waiting and it drags. At least you are hopefully on track to get some answers.

I've been using cheapies and had a high yesterday that may have been coming down from a missed peak (yesterday was CD7) Do you think that's a bit early for a surge? My cycle is so strange at the moment I feel like I'm losing the plot!

OP posts:
CC81 · 02/09/2020 07:46

@Sleeeeeepy - I think LH can surge several times, until ovulation actually occurs (after a peak). But I'm no expert! I only use cheap OPK sticks (with the two lines). I often get a faint test line at other points in my cycle, but then the peak is super-obvious as the line goes so dark.

Yeah, I hate waiting for things. It's rather ironic that the PROCESS causes so much stress, when we're meant to avoid stress to conceive!

The clinic doesn't like to give out results without a doctor to explain them (and 22 Sep was the earliest they had).

I can understand that, as it avoids the sort of wild speculation I've been doing since getting my FSH result... Wink

selina37 · 02/09/2020 12:16

@CC81 hope the tests go well for you! Try not to think too much between now and the wait.

I've just got a date for the hycosy. Starting to get a little nervous about it. Anyone with any experience of having one?

ShouldEyeShouldntEye · 02/09/2020 15:23

@Semele5069 congratulations! How exciting. Do you mind me asking how long you were trying? I understand your nerves as this is my first month trying after a loss.

I owed on a stick this morning. I know there isn’t a line but I’m the mad woman who keeps staring and in various lights believes she saw a flicker of a shadow. Do others waste hours doing this?

When a test says accurate to 5 days before AF does that apply if you have a short luteal phase? My luteal phase is 11 days so although I’m due AF on Sat I’m actual only 7 or 8 days dpo. Is that too early to test? It is isn’t it?

Sleeeeeepy · 02/09/2020 16:00

@ShouldEyeShouldntEye I'm there shining my torch on my phone onto the stick every time. My cycle is also v short so I test early, I know perfectly well it will be negative but have no willpower 😂

@selina37 I've had a hycosy done as part of my work up. It's a bit uncomfortable but fascinating as saw the xrays on the screen and the dye moving. I had to take an antibiotic before hand and had light period cramps after for a few days. It's really not that bad xx

selina37 · 02/09/2020 21:20

@Hayley19835 thank you so much. Why the antibiotics beforehand? 🤔

Hayley19835 · 02/09/2020 21:43

@selina37 there's a slight chance of infection

mouldygrapes · 02/09/2020 21:53

Hope everyone is getting on OK. I’m glad I’ve got my 2nd acupuncture tomorrow, could do with the relaxation.

@CC81 good luck. A long wait is v frustrating, I hope the time goes fast

@selina37 sorry no words of experience but I’m sure you’ll be fine. How long do you have to wait?

@ShouldEyeShouldntEye yes I think probably a bit early, takes time for the HCG to build up

Semele5069 · 02/09/2020 21:53

Thanks all:-) @ShouldEyeShouldntEye of course! I came off the pill in August last year, got pregnant first in December and miscarried just before 7 weeks in January. I got pregnant again in my second cycle after that but miscarried again in early April at 5.5 weeks. Then nothing until now. 4 months trying this time sounds nothing but felt like an eternity! I was desperate to get pregnant again and took stronger supplements (Pregnacare) which I blame me a couple of messed up cycles (shorter than usual, very !ight periods) that then only made me more worried. I went back to the basic vitamins I was on previously and started taking ubiquinol as well and had what I would consider one normal cycle and period before getting my BFP this time. Sorry to hear about your loss and fingers crossed for you.x

mouldygrapes · 02/09/2020 22:16

@ShouldEyeShouldntEye I’m sorry, I scanned your post and missed the bit about this being your first cycle after a loss. Hugs Flowers

Loladoodle · 03/09/2020 08:21

Congrats @Semele5069 🎉 I understand you are cautious, so hoping it works out for you this time
