Hoping to get some advice... Me and my boyfriend have not been using any contraception for about 4 months and doing the deed regularly. I haven’t been actively trying to get pregnant but would be happy if I did. I have been trying to track my ovulation and bought some OPK strips off amazon (Femometer). I am using the app and I’ve been doing it for about 3 months and I haven’t yet received a positive test! I’ve had lines show up but none darker or as dark as the test line.
I’ve started testing twice a day now and still nothing. I started testing this month on CD8 and it’s now CD13 and my boobs are absolutely killing (I usually do get sore boobs about 7-10 days before my period but nothing this bad)
My cycles can vary from 21 days the shortest I’ve ever had to 30 is the longest. Although I average about 26 day cycle according to my app.
Anyone got any ideas? I did read on the femometer reviews that there were a few women who didn’t get really dark lines same as me but did still get pregnant

I think it can depend on how dilute your urine is - if it’s quite dilute then I don’t think it will come up with a strong test line

If we assume your luteal phase is of average length (ie. 12-14 days), and you have cycles that vary from 26 to 30 days then ovulation could be anywhere from CD12 to CD18 so it seems very possible that you wouldn't have received a positive test yet this month. Keep testing and fingers crossed you'll get your peak in the next week.

What @Curiosity101 said and also how often do you test? Once the line gets darker you're meant to up it to 3 times a day to not miss the surge.

If you don't have any luck with it this month I suggest getting the femometer thermometer and start tracking your bbt on Fertility Friend to double check if you're ovulating. I'm sure you are but at least it will give you some peace of mind and stop you worrying about it!

Thanks everyone! @Juno231 I have been testing twice a day, once in the morning, once in the evening. I suppose I have never really seen a really dark like so I haven’t upped the testing. I think I’ll get the thermometer to double check! X
